Parody Song Title:

"Set Martha Free"

Parody Written by:

Grace Hampton

The Lyrics

Amid the mire of soaps and talk shows Martha Stewart inspired me.
What would I do without her? Set her free!
Grace and elegance were what she gave to daytime TV.
What would she do in prison? Set her free!
Set her free! Let her be!
Set her free! Let her be!
What would I do without her? Set her free!

She didn't blow up buildings nor did she steal someone's identity.
Why should she go to prison? Set her free!
She sold some stock and it really cost her so dearly.
Let that be her lesson. Set her free!
Set her free! Let her be!
Set her free! Let her be!
Let that be her lesson. Set her free!
Set her free! Let her be!
Set her free! Let her be!
Why should she go to prison? Set her free!

She really blew it big time, but she's no threat to society.
Why should she go to prison? Set her free!
Why did she get convicted when O. J. Simpson got off free?
Don't let her go to prison. Set her free!

Oh, set her free! Let her be!
Yeah, set her free! Let her be!
Don't let her go to prison. Set her free!

Set her free. Let her be!
Set her free! Let her be!
Don't let her go to prison. Set her free!

Ditto. Fine her a large amount, but she should not get more than a token weekend in jail.

Disagree with the POV but still a decent parody. :-)

Very good parody, Grace. It's hard to fault the jury for reaching guilty verdicts, but I don't think that the prosecution would have pursued someone other than Martha Stewart who had committed the same "crimes."
