Well Steve, that woud have worked as a rhyme, but my intent here wasn't to tell Jews that they ought to accept Jesus. I wanted to comment on the huge buzz surrounding this film, and how much of it was built on the negative comments of Jewish leaders. This is a religious film done in foreign languages, without the backing of a major studio or distributor. Even with Mel Gibson behind it, you'd think that it wouldn't get more than a limited release, that it would do extremely well to cover the $25 million investment put into it. But now it looks to be a blockbuster of Biblical proportions.

Hmmm... everybody knows the original song. "The Passion of the Christ" is a pop phenomenon, with huge cultural implicaitons, and obviously important to many. Fifty parodies, and 500 comments on Janet's obscene boob, but nobody has a thing to say about this? I wonder why not?

Mac - I think that this is the best parody that you have ever done. It rhymes well, flows perfectly and follows the original to a tee. I have not seen the movie and will reserve my judgement of it until after I have viewed it.

mac-I wasn't asking you to ask Jews to accept Jesus, but stating a fact which should be very obvious, but has been so often ignored by Christians, to our shame. In all this talk about "who killed Christ?" or "are the Jews Christ-killers?", we so often overlook the fact that the Victim of this horrible execution was Himself a Jew. FWIW, I agree with the purpose of your parody, and that Gibson should not be judged by his father's Holocaust denial.

This isn't that funny now. I saw the film and I didn't think it was anti-Semitic but since we know Mel is one, and this film came out at a time when Americans were GLOATING over the savagery and torture of war prisoners, and the fact that fundamentalist fanatics were flocking to see this, a great sadism pervades in American attitudes and America is now ruled by a fascist spankee boy (SHEEEE-YIIIIITTTTT!) only makes this parody an obscenity. Sing this to the 6 million Jews Hitler killed.
