Song Parodies -> "Fellow Who's Mum's Queen"

Original Song Title:

"Yellow Submarine"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Fellow Who's Mum's Queen"

Parody Written by:

The Comedian

The Lyrics

There's a crown
I've never worn

'Cause me Mum
Is crowned the Queen

I grow old
A Prince for life

Would be grand
To be the King!

So I wailed
Unto me Mum:

"Will the crown on me be seen?"

But she lives
And cheats the grave

I'm the fellow
Who's Mum's Queen

I'm Prince Charles, I'm the fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen

Queen shall live and she'll always be the Queen
Always be the Queen
Always be the Queen

With my friends
We're all so bored

Playing polo with
In-bred Lords

I'm the land's
Chief Prince today

( instrumental break: Royal Trumpet And Timpani Fanfare )

I'm Prince Charles, I'm the fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen

I'm Prince Charles and I'll never be the King
Never be the King
Never be the King

And we live ( And he lives )
A life of ease ( A life of ease )

Every Windsor has ( Every Windsor has )
All lux-ur-ies ( All luxuries )

I'm so blue ( He's so blue )
No crown for me ( No crown for he )

I'm the fellow ( He's the fellow )
Who's Mum's Queen ( Who's Mum's Queen - ah-haah! )

I'm Prince Charles, I'm the fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen

Queen shall live and she'll always be the Queen
Always be the Queen
Always be the Queen

I'm Prince Charles and I'll never be the King
Never be the King
Never be the King

I'm Prince Charles, I'm the fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen
Fellow who's Mum's Queen

Good job, Johnny. Main verse is a little hard to pronounce, though.
Johnny D - January 06, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks, 2nz - that's OK, I understand that everybody's ears hear pacing differently and everybody's "mental voice" (or actual voice, for that matter) pronounces things differently, too ..... that's an occupational hazard of parody writing, I guess. Some people find certain combinations and sequences of letters/phonemes easier to pronounce than others - individual differences, that's all, and it makes sense to cast your vote according to your own experience.

He "just can't wait to be king..."
Phil Alexander - January 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Hey, Mari - sounds like there's a parody in that one... (maybe http://www.amiright.com/parody/90s/simbathelionking0.shtml even ;-) )...

Johnny... great song, but (you knew there was going to be a "but", didn't you?) it should be "Fellow whose mum's Queen"
Johnny D - January 07, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks Mari D and Phil !

Phil - of course you're right, I must have had a brain fart when I came up with "Who's", it should indeed be "Whose", yes....

Blimey! I'm sure William V will like it... but we may never know for sure what Charles III will think!

Thanks MP.

What a great job on Charles and the monarchy in general! Very funny, Johnny. Polo with Inbred lords, I loved this one.
