It was widely reported they *promised* not to use Carrie Fisher in IX. I still hope that is the case.

No, J.J. Abrams got permission from her daughter to use spare footage from Episode VII to use in Episode IX. No CGI. It's official news, not speculation. Mark Hamill is also confirmed in the cast release information.FYI
