The Lyrics

Disney has announced that along with it's 2015 start of the new "Star Wars" trilogy it is allowing writers to submit screenplays for single, stand-alone SW movies during the same timeframe of 2015-2021 using the same characters of the new trilogy. Michael Arndt is writing for Number VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams while Lawrence Kasdan is already writing a stand-alone movie screenplay!
Big surprise!
Big surprise!

"Star Wars" thrives
"Star Wars" thrives

Singles fine
Beyond IX
At same time
Disney kind?

Franchise is still alive!

[Merchandising- BIG TIME!!!]
Note: Am jealous b/c my own private SW trilogy based on Lucas' original title of "Journal of the Whills" and set 25,000 BBY cannot be adapted for the big screen nor even sold. By law I am only allowed a single copy of each book and cannot distribute them, even for non-monetary gain. I have far more characters than Lucas' trilogies and my origins I think are much better. My version is not PG-13 though, leaning more towards realistic violence and some light sex. I have a ton of new vehicles, starships, and weapons galore. I might be able to get away with telling my stories through parody songs but it would be extremely difficult due to lengths of each book, each chapter. I also want to tell it with one artist and that would be Lady Gaga who has over 100 songs counting non-released. Matching each chapter to a song in sequence would be really hard... but I might attempt it. However, my last attempt using Keats "Edymion" to tell the story of the German soldier's plight from pre-WW2 to 1945 has already stalled at "Oblivion #5". I am at 1944 and need 7 more parodies to cover 17 mos and reflections. I went too fast and exhausted the full potential of every year in that series :(

Rob - I've heard the new trilogy will introduce Anikin Skywalker's Sith Lord great-granddaughter....Ella Vader! ;D

And what about his English butler who, during his younger days, used to refer to him as "Master Vader"?

Thanks guys! Am still debating on whether or not I should attempt to start wrinting about my own "Star Wars" trilogy with short chapter summaries and tailored OS from Gaga... TBD
