The Lyrics

Most of the legislation known as "Obamacare" has survived its day at SCOTUS, because of what seems like an unexpected reason. Listen to TOS here.
One, two, three, four
Barf!
One, two, three, four

Chief Justice Roberts raised our hair
By ruling on Obamacare
Said it's a tax, man
Mandate is a tax, man

Not proper for the Commerce Clause
But he still found another cause
Said it's a tax, man
Mandate is a tax, man

(If you sell your house) I’ll tax your gains
(If you grow your food) I’ll tax your grains
(If you get a cold) I’ll tax your pains
(If you try to think) I’ll tax your brains
Tax, man

[guitar solo]

Now it's a tax, man
Mandate is a tax, man

And up our spine there runs a chill
(Taxman, it's Obama)
'Cause now we know what's in this bill
(Tax-gal, Nancy P.)
Now it's a tax, man
Mandate is a tax, man

The cost decides who lives or dies (tax, man)
Excuse me while I roll my eyes (tax, man)
Now it's a tax, man
Mandate is a tax, man

And you’re breathing for no-one but them
(Tax, man)

Nice!! I had a epic 3-Malinow-tune gloatfest (SCOTUS, Obama; Oh Mandate; I Strike The Laws) to celebrate the overturning of the Mandate penciled in for today. But seeing as how the World Song Parody Council has ruled that Barry Manilow tunes can only be used for mockery and gloatery .. it looks like I'm SOL for today

Nice synTAX here! Everyone thought that Kennedy might side with the libs on the court, but Roberts? A plethora of perplexed professional political pundits are pondering their puffery.

Very Good! I'm working on one now, maybe for Monday?

The only ones I see who are deciding "who lives or dies" are the death panels at Cigna and Blue Cross who are denying coverage to sick people.

Good stuff, Steve. Of the many onerous features of Obamacare, perhaps the most oppressive is the new 2.3% tax on sales (not profits) of medical devices. One thing that tax increase proponents don’t seem to realize is that when taxes are increased on an activity, investment in that activity automatically decreases. So this tax automatically hurts innovation in the American medical industry.

So? Health care is a national security issue. You object to playing taxes to cover security? You couldn't possibly hate America that much.
John Jenkins - June 30, 2012 - Report this comment
The objections are not to paying taxes to cover national security. The objections are to paying higher taxes AND getting worse health care.

This could not be less in accordance with my political views, but I have to hand it to you; it's a great parody. Well done!

adding to what john jenkins said, the tax $ like almost all of the porkulus and trillions we now owe goes to bail out demoncrat contributors and for redistribution for votes. nice people these thieving liberals are. what's wrong with liberals getting their life together and taking care of your own needs as we use to do? are you "lesser" citizens? you imply that you are. i'm a musician with my house paid off, money in the bank and totally covered because i sacrificed and made wise decisions. i'm still waiting for 2 things- odumba to get us out of the war by aug 2010 and liberal voters to uphold a check and balance system on their rats. wont happen
