The Lyrics

My second rogue entry into the White Album/superhero songapalooza. The Green Hornet TV show was broadcast for one season in the Sixties and was notable for being the first TV show to showcase Asian Martial arts. It also showcased a pretty cool souped up black Chrysler Imperial (similar to a Cadillac)that was known as Black Beauty
(Cue buzzing hornet sound effect, then guitar intro)

Blew into the crime scene in our Black Beauty
Didn't give a chance for flight
On the way my sidekick smashed a face with his knee
Man it was an awesome fight

Black is the Green Hornet's car
You don't know how awesome we are, boy
Black is the Green Hornet car

Been disguised so long I hardly know my face
Man, there's been too many calls
Leave it to the DA to unwrap this case
Kato, kick him in the balls

Black is the Green Hornet's car
You don't know how badass we are, boy
Black is the Hornet's
Black is the Hornet's
Black is the Green Hornet's car

Well the Bruce Lee kicks really knock them out
They leave their teeth behind
And Kato's twirls make me scream and shout
That Kung Fu beats Muay Thai, thai thai thai thai thai Thai

Oh, let's roll, Kato ...

Black is the Green Hornet's car
You don't know how badass we are, boy
Black is the Green Hornet's car

Well, the Bruce Lee style really knocked them out
It left the West behind
And Kato Fu made them scream and shout
The Orient's kicking our behi-hi-hi-hi-hi-hi-hi-hind

Oh, show me that big Chrysler stowed beneath the house
Take me to the garage door
Let me hear that hornet siren buzzing loud
Kato, push it to the floor

Black is the Green Hornet's car
You don't know how awesome we are, boy
Black is the Green Hornet's car

Oh let me tell you, Kato .. Hey, it's black (woo hoo hoo...)

((Fade out to the sound of a hornet buzzing ...)

Well done and a great reminder of a really cool show.

Great job-555! The GH was played more serious than Batman but the car was awesome too. The only thing I like about the movie version was not Seth Rogen but the car and Kato (no need for Jet Li) :)

Thanks fellas. I didn't have a handle on the second stanza until yesterday, so I guess I can't challenge Mathias for the "Back to the USSR" slot. Just thought of a slight tweak; "On the way (In the fray?) my valet smashed a face with his knee" -- just a tad closer to "the paper bag was on my knee"

I could totally hear "Flight of the Bumblebee" behind the Beatles in this. Unfortunately, Seth Rogen was so pathetic as the Green Hornet that he totally made Robert Downey look believable as Iron Man. Or Sherlock Holmes, for that matter. Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern... What's next, Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger? Oh, wait...
