Song Parodies -> "Plumber-Man Joe"

Original Song Title:

"Bungalow Bill"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Plumber-Man Joe"

Parody Written by:

Phil Alexander

The Lyrics

My initial idea was to use "Joe Le Taxi" by Vanessa Paradis for this... until I listened to it again, that was. Still, I guess there's a "Hey Joe" one still on the cards
Hey Plumber-man Joe
Come say "Hello"
Plumber-man Joe
Hey Plumber-man Joe
Howdy, B.O.
Plumber-man Joe

He went and faced Obama, got his face upon Tee-vee-hee
Asking 'bout taxing rates: "Will they apply to me-hee"
And now all American media asking: "who the **** is he?"
All reporters sing:

Hey Plumber-man Joe
Whadda-ya-know
Plumber-man Joe?
Hey Plumber-man Joe
Democrat foe,
Plumber-man Joe?

Holland, Ohio, where they all are good ol' boys
Barack Obama wandered, full of charm and poise
'Til Wurzelbacher taxed the man from Illinois
Now Obama sing:

Hey Plumber-man Joe
Was that apropos
Plumber-man Joe?
Hey Plumber-man Joe
How you doin', bro
Plumber-man Joe?

McCain said he will not raise his taxes if he win
(But called him "Wurzelburger", much to his chagrin)
Then said he'd fire all his advisors and have him
Republicans sing:

Hey Plumber-man Joe
Talk to Limbaugh
Plumber-man Joe

Hey Plumber-man Joe
Right-wing's new beau
Plumber-man Joe?

Hey Plumber-man Joe
Go, Wurzel, go!
Plumber-man Joe?

Hey Plumber-man Joe
Ho bloody ho!
Plumber-man Joe

Hey Plumber-man Joe
Make that much dough
Plumber-man Joe?

[Repeat to fade]

If you are a plumber your chances of being unemployed are slim so Joe the Plumber won't have to worry about losing his job no matter what.

I wonder if Joe is related to Josephine the Plumber from the old Comet (?) commercials. Believe it or not the security code that appears at the bottom of the screen right now is TXD (taxed?)

:-) Thanks, guys

Hmmmm ... had some preliminary flashes of a "Hey Joe" take on this theme, but may just wait and see the one you have percolating, Phil. Good write.
2Eagle -- AAMOF I've been thinking Joe might find himself less employed that usual now that all the world knows that, flouting local requirements, he's unlicensed, and therefore probably neither bonded nor insured for the work he does. I might welcome and allow a knowledgeable amateur's assistance with home repair/improvement projects, but, having more than once seen/heard of friends/acquaintances getting burned, no way would I pay an unaccountable "professional" for same.

Funny, Phil. When I saw this on the news I had a suspicion it would turn up here!

Stan - John Barry got there first with the "Hey Joe"... no real surprise there :-)
Pippin - yes, it is a bit of a sitting duck sort of parody target
