swirlin' wind gusts knocked us askance

crashed into a witch when we came
another witch came to say
"it is upon you, i'll prey"
and then she cackled like a woman, insane

met a trio, as the road, we were hittin'
scarecrow, tin man, lion, so meek
one creature felt dread
one needed brains in his head
the other needed both a heart and some grease

off to see the wizard on that zany day
needin' us a dose of charity
cruelly, the witch said

wizard just ignored our dilemma

but after we pled
here's what the man said
"you bring me back the broom of that hag"
