Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Noah's Dry"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

it happened to just pour
then came down even more
noah's dry

god handed him a clue
and told him what to do
he followed

rained forty nights
rained forty nights

the world became a sea
with just the tallest trees
in place

an ark, together, thrown
with creatures from all zones
packed inside

a good man, noah'd been
god designated him
that chore

he didn't die
he didn't die

with family on hand
he waited for dry land
he had faith

and so this crew
they stayed alive...and thrived
earth reborn
the populace revived
some picked to live
most died...deprived
those aboard
they were saved cause they stayed dry

and soon a dove was flown
to find these folks a home
off he flies

and land was where he'd been
a branch was brought back in
uproar

oceans subside
oceans subside

the ark docked on the land
and welcomed back, was man
to this place

noah's dry
noah's dry

Love it! Reminds me of this weekend's weather. I live in central NJ and my local park by the banks of the ole' Raritan River was under 10 feet of raging water yesterday!

This might have been even better if it had not gone back and forth between present and past tense, but it was still very good.
