Song Parodies -> "Tom Delay ( for John A. Barry )"

Original Song Title:

"Yesterday"

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"Tom Delay ( for John A. Barry )"

Parody Written by:

Red Ant

The Lyrics

Due to the staggering amount of sheer slams on TD yesterday by you John, you deserve a "tribute" parody in your honor. So here it is.
Tom Delay,
John A. Barry slammed him yesterday,
And he did it in every way,
He's not deceived, by Tom Delay

Twenty-two,
That's the number of slams he did do,
All parodies coming from The Who,
Delay got dissed, times twenty-two

Why he's such a douch I now know,
He had his way,
Cited all the wrong, what a prong, is Tom Delay

Yes John A.,
I would not vote for him I think "Nay",
And now I just call him Frito Lay*,
So some major props for John A.

Why he's such a turd now I know,
He had his say,
Cited all the wrong, what a dong, is Tom Delay

Tom's Delays,**
Lesson learned the sleazy games he plays,
Oh how I wish he was far aways,
Now I'm aware, of Tom's Delays
* Frito Lay- Taken from another webite where George Bush was compared to a box of Tic-Tacs to see which would make a better president. The Tic-Tacs won. I think a bag of Frito-Lay chips would be better then Tom Delay. ** A term I made up for this. Okay, I do not know sh*t about politics really ( though more about TD ) and need The Who Box set to rate most of those yesterday. Outstanding work on a weekend's worth of The Who parodies. PS-Glad you didn't make 23 parodies yesterday as that would have messed up my rhyme scheme ( worse than it is ). Why not "We see Tom's lies" set to "Behind Blue Eyes"? Maybe you can make that one as well in the next few days. ;-)

DKTOS.. and I'll have to read up on TD too, Mesa think... :-)

Thank you Paul Robinson.
Thanks John Barry. Suggestions ( as in plural )? Aside from the " Behind Blue Eyes " parody mention the only other thing I can see coming from this is a poll on inthe00s.com to see who is better: A bag of Frito-Lay chips or Tom DeLay.
To Peter Andersson a.k.a. K1chyd: DKTOS huh? I would suggest looking at the 11+ " Yesterday " parodies that some guy made in your name. ;-)
Malcolm Higgins did this about 2 weeks ago ( and better ) and I said basically that I could cross this off my list but after John did all that work yesterday I couldn't help it.

I'm not sure if I heard this song before(I have listened to some Beatle's songs, but probably not this one. Unless it is the one with the "Paul is dead, miss him, miss him" message in reverse. Someone one gamefaqs posted a site where someone used flash programs to flip songs in reverse, including the Pokemon rap, Another one bites the dust and the Beatles' song with that message). I left a post on our thread(as well as my Calvin and Hobbes parody).

Umm, I've never heard of that one and I do not have the ability to play CDs backwards. This is probably one of the most parodied songs on amiright. There are atleast 4 people with 5+ submissions of this song that I know of off the top of my head, myself included.

Working on that contest song now.

I left a question on the thread to see if you wanted me to post any lyrics of Nirvana songs. I better start thinking up some ideas for the song, I have none at the moment. I have no way to play songs backwards either, I don't remember which song it was; it's been awhile.

I left a website address which has lyrics for Mrs. Butterworth on our thread(the lyrics are the closest to being 100% accurate that I've seen). I also posted the lyrics for Beeswax on there.

Love this song, and the Honesty one even more... I'm not aware of this incident, but this is a great parody, and seems like an interesting subject.

Thanks again Dominic L. This parody was a tribute to John's "Mock Opera" of Tom DeLay because he released 22 parodies in ONE DAY all from "The Who" ( some were combined parodies ). I only knew ONE OS despite that I have "The Who-Then and Now" 2 disc set.
