Love for this movie was strong,
But for stage could they put it on?
It worked for "The Producers"--pleased
Were patrons, and critics were appeased.
They could, like Brooks, take a chance
And spice the story up with song and dance.

So, the backers were charmed and then
Big checks did write
The "Spamalot" drama went. . .
Opening night.

Now Tim Curry is the actor who
Seeks the lost grail in this spoof.
Voice flows, but he's no
Operatic big boy like Domingo.

As in the movie, he will find
An opponent who has drawn a line
And says, "You will not get past me!"
He'll soon be a short kneeless knight.

Oh, Arthur will hack off his arms again,
Gone from his sides
Arthur will hack off his legs and then
Again will ride.

And that ride'll
Be thanks to Idle.
