The Lyrics

I am trying to do a six song tribute to the LOTR 'trilogy'. This is part 3, so it centers on the exploits of Merry and Pippin in the second book/movie. Part 4 will also deal with the second book/movie and parts 5 and 6 will deal with the third book/movie. Enjoy
And here's to you, Merry and Pippin
We three follow everywhere you go
(O-E-O)
Down on my knees, Merry and Pippin
(Not) idle are the leaves that fall today
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

We'd like to rest from chasing Burt and Ernie for a while
Three days of rescue guided by your elf
You're surrounded all you see are orcs and ugly guys
Skulls abound in mounds cause Rohan killed them all

But where are you, Merry and Pippin
We three will not rest until we know
(O-E-O)
My heart would ease, Merry and Pippin
If we only had Gandalf the Grey
(Hey, hey, hey...He was Grey)

Legolas looks on a place much older than he knows
We must council Gimli for his head shakes
It's a scary venture that no Rohan sons would dare
In it's walls Fangorn has shrubs that scare the kids

Who's new to you, Merry and Pippin
Entish lends itself to things that grow
(Grow-E-O)
Make friends with trees, Merry and Pippin
Drinks in Fangorn add an inch they say
(So they say...what the hey)

Treebeard stood and cleared his throat for one whole afternoon
Hey, without entwives how can they mate?
With a scoff wives wandered off; it's reproduction blues
Are there any males they can't confuse?

Where have you gone Sammy and Frodo
Has Sauron shown his only eye to you
(Is it true?)
What can I say, Merry and Pippin
Both of you have still a part to play
(Hey, hey, hey...hey, hey, hey)

Doh!!! Sorry Art, nothing personal. I forgot 'E before L, like spelling and hell. Scarborough's fair, but still doesn't care.' And thanks, Johnny.
