The Lyrics

I saw a movie that made me cry. Consider this my second way of paying it forward. No I was not going to use Bob Sinclar's song of the same name, given the subject matter of the film. Don't need to worry about A/C not working, lights flickering or staying on, or radio on. Just make sure you've got the right volume. Enjoy.
(Verse 1)
Hello children, here you are
Are you prepared to travel far
Even though you are all unnnnderage
Image plastered on our webpage
And your parents will find the truth out too late
Took the bait
There’s no sound of freedom

(Verse 2)
In CA Ballard does his thing
Stopping pedos with a sting
Caught another at the border
Teddy bear that was Rocio’s brother
While a drunken man thinks it’s fine to go r**e his sis
That dad does miss
Tim brings the sound of freedom

(Verse 3)
And in Columbia we meet
Vampiro with a heart that’s sweet
Also rich Paul with his funding
Get an island for some hunting
Making sure that Godddd’s children are not for sale
It’s in this tale
Called the sound of freedom

(Verse 4)
But the mission is not done
Rebel group still has someone
Pretend that you are a doctor
With vaccines like a real doctor
Scorpion is now like romeo
(Since) he’s dead
Rocio gets freedom

(Verse 5)
And the patrons with surprise
Let the tears flow from their eyes
If the place had working A/C
While critics really don’t agree
When the words say, more people are enslaved
At any point in history
(With) no sophistry
Help children find the sound of freedom
I'm not crying, you're crying. If this song should somehow reach international audiences, I hope your country will allow you to show this film. A 150 billion dollar/yr industry of human trafficking is not something to ignore or participate in.

Ballard, Caviezel, and others of their ilk have primed the public to accept Sound of Freedom as a documentary rather than delusion by fomenting moral panic for years over this grossly exaggerated “epidemic” of child sex-trafficking, much of it funneling people into conspiracist rabbit holes and QAnon communities.

Weird.. I didn't write the above comment. But would broadly agree with it - and no, Chris, that doesn't mean I have a hard drive full of child porn, just that I can read and understand statistics.

I'm guessing you have a different opinion on the film Cuties, huh Phil?
Phil Alexander - July 25, 2023 - Report this comment
Never watched it, I'm guessing you've been listening to too many right-wing podcasts: the *only* time I've seen Cuties referenced in the past few weeks is by right-wing types who think that "Sound of Freedom" is godly and left-wingers love "Cuties". I'm guessing neither exactly reflects reality.

Anyone who thinks that "Cuties" is pro-pedo must certainly secretly want it to be.

Anyone who thinks "Sound of Freedom" is connected to Qanon communities must certainly secretly want it to be.

@Arch Vile - maybe you should ask the person pretending to be me.. though Qanon types are pushing the movie: https://www.npr.org/2023/07/19/1188405402/qanon-supporters-are-promoting-sound-of-freedom-heres-why

Incidentally, what is your view of the movie "Cuties", seeing as you brought it up?
Phil Alexander - July 26, 2023 - Report this comment
Do you misread on purpose, or are you simply incapable of presenting an argument that isn't a strawman? And inaccurate. And just plain stupid. Even trying to think down to your level gives me headaches.

Whats actually happening here is that people in the Anglosphere now inhabit two separate and parallel. You make reference to NPR as if it is some kind of unimpeachable source, and I'll respond that NPR, along with everyone else in the MSM has so thoroughly discredited itself that I dont accept anything it says as valid. So how can there be oany meeting of the minds here ...... Oh, and lets deal with this Qanon slander. I have read about 30 articles a day, every day on the net for the past 12 years or so. I would guess that perhaps 0.1% involved articles referencing Qanon. And once Qanon discredited itself in 2020, I have seen ZERO positive references to it. And the only clue you need that this is true is the fact that Leftists will insinuate that its the ONLY thing Righties read

We inhabit two separate and parallel UNIVERSES (eesh)
Phil Alexander - July 29, 2023 - Report this comment
Thing is, CML, I can have confidence that the universe I inhabit is a lot closer to reality, for the following sorts of reasons: firstly, you dismiss the NPR link without reading anything - I *know* you didn't read it, because you go on to argue against things that neither that article nor I were saying (very much like Arch Vile in that respect) - you have your preconceptions of what I was going to say and take no notice of what I actually do; when you post links to back up your positions, I read these too - and quite often they don't support the views you suggest, which also suggests that *you* haven't read them, you have a version of reality you want to be true and go out of your way to ignore things that don't fit; also, the sources I use if they are shown to be wrong take it as a massive problem and try doing something to ensure their errors don't happen again (cf the Fox News attitude to being found out to be not just wrong but knowingly wrong and lying).

You still haven't told me from all those weeks/months ago why you consider Politifact to be a lying, untruthful source, so much so that it can be ignored without even looking at what they say. It still looks to me like they say things you don't like, so you pretend to yourself it isn't true. Prove me wrong.
