"Hitler's Globe Missing Too?"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

In the 1930s a company made the Columbus Globe for State and Industry Leaders. These were for the Nazi Party and Hitler. But Hitler's was huge and the cradle was designed by Speer himself. It sat in the New Reichschancellery building in Hitler's office and was captured by Soviet troops at the end of the war. Today, there are 5 of the globes in Germany- three in Berlin and two in Munich. At least one is a copy and another belonged to Ribbentrop. Another was looted from The Eagle's Nest by a GI and shipped back home sold in 2007 for $100,000 (5x the cost of the original). But Hitler's is still missing. It served as inspiration for the Chaplain movie "The Great Dictator" and several 3 Stooges episodes, all filmed in 1940.
Hitler's globe missing too?
Since '45

Columbus Globe was so huge
Special cradle by Speer
Older Troost* one disappeared

New Reichschancellery displayed it
For many years it was around
Then the Soviets came
Rolled their tanks in, did surround
Berlin came crashing down

Hitler's globe missing too?
Since '45
Moscow survived?

Made a few
Cartography new**
'43 factory blew***
No numbers, no plans
But the old one was there
For all to see
Bullet hole in Germany!

Historians hunting
Hitler's globe missing too?
Since '45
(Along with Reich Assets, Amber Room, Gold Train)

* former architect
** Abyssinia )aka Ethiopia changed to Italian East Africa
*** factory bombed in 1943 with all records lost
