Parody Song Title:

"Gavelin' Man"

Parody Written by:

Merry & Pippin

The Lyrics

I'm a gavelin' man
Unswayed, I sit atop my courtroom-ish world
And then I play my part, fines I impart
On the thieves and working girls

I’ve imprisoned men who beat up ladies, you see
And if I could bestow
Oh if only legislature’d allow me
Fire juice up - electric glow!

Those who ‘sweets’ design down in meth-labs now
Put behind bars to learn
And as Bubba’s moll, they’ll grow old ‘fore long
Dates cause bits to burn

Put some politicians shady, into the clink
‘Spite their acting contrite
Up they’re locked by a man with a great big key
As I rid society’s blight

Oh I draw the line and I send them down
For incarcerate turn
Send to jailhouse now if they’ve done gone wrong
Fate is something earned

Not this robe appeasing, chummy, you’re gonna be
O’er remanded this night
For assaults or may-hem, crim’nal trespassing
I immure you oh so tight

Oh, I'm a gavelin' man
Yes, I'm a gavelin' man
Yes, I'm a gavelin' man
Sure, I'm a gavelin' man

I am glad to see this up today, even though I didn't get anything done. Up my own creek without a gavel. Fun song to sing along to!

Well done for putting a parody up today, M and P. Like Jeff I had the best intentions. You had me with the title sub, but the fun was imagining a fully-robed judge proudly singing this

Agreed; nice job! Lots of clever subs throughout

Just caught up to this one. Glad they haven't caught up to me, yet. =;-) Where I live, justice is supposed to be blind. Happy to see that you two have pulled down that fold.

No one should feel "robed" for reading this one. Very well done. Courting has become popular again.
