The Lyrics

I call this song The Incumbent's Lament. What's the fastest thing in the known universe? Democratic senators and congressmen running away from the administration and their voting records in support of it. It reminds me of...to be honest, Republicans distancing themselves from George W. Bush in 2006 and 2008. ;D

I backed the healthcare plan - the debt and stimulus.
Your votes I could command - but now you cause a fuss.
You called for "hope and change" - but now you're acting strange,
So I don't know them.

I worked for cap and trade - with White House views alligned.
But now I am unmade - my polls are way behind.
And so I'll really try - my record to deny.
Yes, I don't know them.

So don't dump on me - if you're in misery
For we never did trouble you.
Don't be annoyed - if you are unemployed,
Just blame it all on Double-U.!

I don't know Harry Reid - or Nancy Pe-lo-si.
So surely you don't need - to go vote G.O.P.
The only thing I fear - is O. will campaign here,
For I don't know them.

(Instrumental bridge, then return to the final section of the song)

I'll take their money and - use all their campaign spots,
But I will repremand - and call the whole gang "snots".
I've got to save my skin! The only way to win
Is to not know them.

;D

A few years ago, I did a parody called "You Don't Know Squat." It was about a not-very-bright girl. Maybe I should've saved it in response to one of these delusional conservatives' parodies.

All the candidates around here are accusing their opponents of being "Washington". Yet they want to go there in January. If the new Republican majority doesn't repeal Osamacare and restore the Bush tax cuts by the end of January, I'd say it was time to throw those rascals out, too.

. . . . ohhhhhh, if I only had Nancy's HealthCare Plan: a Free Facelift every 48 hours . . .

Well executed on the perfect OS for fair-weather politicians. Oh, well, there's still a lame-duck session ahead in 55.5 days ...

Rats deserting the sinking Ship of State...

@ Michael Pacholek: I'm sorry; I thought that song was an autobiography. My bad. :)

Thanks all. At the risk of sounding like an old light beer commercial, what I need to do is "More Writing - Less Comments!" ;D

Yes, there will be a lot of new senators and congresspeople in Washington, DC next January. Very good spoof of some very embarrassed incumbents. But I'm curious about the "to be honest" comment in your introduction. Aren't you always honest?
