"Hell, This Cat Food Is Too Bland"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I guess this doesn't need any explanation. Unlike it's protagonist it speaks for itself.
Hell, this cat food is too bland
Dreadful taste I cannot stand
I've been waiting a long while
What you brought me now tastes vile
You should feed me more tasty meals
Not this garbage from cans congealed
'Cause the stuff that you bring me doesn't have much taste appeal

Here's the cretin with my dreck
This is making me a wreck
I've lost inches from my waist
Because this crap offends my taste
I'm outraged, it's a crying shame
Your treatment of me is completely lame
Every day it gets clearer something is wrong with your brain

Now here's what I'd like to see
You bring real ground beef to me
Some fresh fish and then juicy ham
Not that garbage from the can
Hope that soon you will get a clue
And stop feeding me this disgusting goo
Drat, because I'm a cat there's really not much I can do.

Leah, Thanks. I had a cat (Loki) who is the character in all my cat parodies (except the "Feline Pine" one). One time I knew I was out of cat food and it was after the markets around me were closed. I got a couple cans of some kind of "generic" cat food from a small corner store. When the cat went over to it she sniffed it, turned around and started doing the "turd cover-up" thing with her hind foot. She didn't have to draw me a picture, I knew what she was telling me.

Thanks to Rick and Mari's recording of this parody on their Amiright Tribute MP3, I now know what it sounds like - so now I can vote an informed triple-five - this parody is great!

Johnny D - Thanks! Always like to get an informed vote, especially Fiver's. Still being in the last Century in some areas I guess I need to ask (probably Rick & Mari) for more details about the above "Amiright Tribute MP3". I'm not set up yet at home with a PC or Internet, not going to fight the XMAS crowds to do it, I'm already nuts enough without trying to deal with that. I'll be trying to get everything bought and put together at home sometime between XMAS and when I go up North on Jan. 8th. Been gearing down and chilling out since yesterday - listening to music, of course. Just came in for a little bit tonight to get out of the house, check for comments and maybe print some lyrics for a couple songs I might parody in the near future. Not going to start browsing around, that usually finds me here 3 or 4 hours later wondering what the hell I'm doing. Later.

I'm not quite sure why "4-2-2" here, but thank you for the look & vote.

I've run into this type of cat. That's very descriptive of their disdain of anything not to their liking. Like they're saying..."Didn't you know that I was King/Queen around here? How dare you OFFER this swill! " lol 5's

Adagio, Thanks! I really loved that cat! She was so expressive. The attitude was entirely blunt - you're reading the newspaper and she wants attention? She jumps up and nestles right smack dab in the middle of the article you are trying to read. You stare; she looks back at you briefly with eyes barely open, blinks slightly, "what, were you reading this? Cracked me up!!

This was just a flawless narration! *Applause* Nothing I can really say that's wrong with this 'un, except it would be funnier if the protagonist was a vagrant.

Wow....this parody is the cat's meow

Jake - Ooohh...A vagrant complaining about the cat food he was served...Ouch! Thanks...wdh - Thank you!
Spaff.com - June 16, 2004 - Report this comment
What Spaff said. And what Ralphing Luke said, but replace his "vagrant" with "mother-in-law."
Paul Robinson - June 17, 2004 - Report this comment
Spaff - Ooohh, not too fond of the "mother-in-law", eh? Thanks!

(ABC) Tell you the truth, I'd rather eat the cat food than listen to Neil Young's endless guitar solo... ;-) Nice job.

Mer - Thanks! So do you like "Chicken & Fish with Nasty Gravy" or the "Liver with Yucky Gravy"? Jeff R - Thanks as well...
