The Lyrics

if a yankee fan...you sure was blessed
when the babe played...in his heyday...he was best
quite a trick...ol' ruth's sixty rips

how far does that ball go...till it stay ?
more than five hundred feet...some would say
quite a trick...ol' ruth's sixty rips

now, they had bob and louie
pennock, combs, and "dugie"
and ol' tony lazzeri was mighty scary
you seen...wilcy moore throw ?
waite hoyt ?....a dynamo
when it came to homers
babe sure knocked 'em over
big man...cigars...rum, broads and limos

the crowd would flip...then, his brim, he'd tip
bat would shake in his enormous grip
quite a trick...ol' ruth's sixty rips
quite a trick...ol' ruth's sixty rips
quite a trick...ol' ruth's sixty rips

It's obious that Ruth was on steroids. Animal steroids, from all the hot dogs he ate. The beef and pork were tainted with steroids, I say. There has got to be as ass-terisk for that fat, pot-bellied SOB. 555, the same number of homers I'm gonna hit this year, if my new supply of Human Growth Whore-Moan gets here in time.

Once again you surprised me with the title. I thought this was going to be about a girl named Ruth who suffered from severe flatulence. 555

Hate to admit it, but I also thought it would be what Rick C. thought it would be about. Instead... as John Sterling would say... It's swung on, and it's driven to deep right field! It is high! It is far! It is... GONE! A home run for Alvin Rhodes! Ruth wore Number 3, but you get Joe DiMaggio's Number 5 here.
