The Lyrics

Remember when, in old Vermont
I told you that the President
did not know how to make this country work?
Wellll... (echoed)
You followed me for a little while
with all my venom, all my bile
and even when I called Dubya a jerk! (echoed)
Nowwww... (echoed)

They're coming to take me away, ha-ha!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha!
To the funny farm!
Where life is beautiful all the time!
At least until the Republican environmental plan goes through
and they're coming to take me away, ha-haaaaaaaa!

You see that I'm a joke and now you laugh
you laugh when I say I guess it's OK
Saddam Hussein's in jail.
Riiiight? (echoed)
You know you laughed, and then were shocked
and quite appalled and scared
when I named all the States
and gave my big kung fu wail! (echoed)
Hyahhhhhhhh! (echoed)

They're coming to take me away, ha-ha!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha!
To the happy home!
Where Bush has cut all the needed funds
and spent them on a big rich guy's war
and Halliburton cleans up
and they're coming to take me away, ha-haaaaaaaa!

Hey, Iowa! And New Hampshire!
So this is how you pay me back
for all my kind, unselfish, loving deeds?
Huhhhh? (echoed)
Well, you just wait!
You will be stuck
and when you are
you'll that Kerry's just
another Republican schmuck! (echoed)
Hyahhhhhhhh! (echoed)

They're coming to take me away, ha-ha!
They're coming to take me away, ho-ho, hee-hee, ha-ha!
To the funny farm!
Where life is beautiful all the time!
At least until the Republican environmental plan goes through
and they're coming to take me away, ha-haaaaaaaa!
To the happy home!
Where Bush has cut all the needed funds
and spent them on a big rich guy's war
and Halliburton cleans up
a they're coming to take me away, ha-haaaaaaaa!
(repeat 'til fade)

Michael, where is your quality control? At least two typos (omitted see between You'll and Kerry and a instead of and) and you submitted twice. Have you been too much celebrating of Kerry's apparent victory? Not a bad parody, otherwise.

Isn't this a duplicate of http://www.amiright.com/parody/60s/napoleonxiv1.shtml? I think it is.

The first time I posted it, I forgot to hit the button authorizing comments. That's why it's up twice. It makes up for the time I mistyped my own name on a parody, short-changing my career total by one, so I'm even now.

Not one of your better ones, MP. Almost half your parody is the original words of the song, and unfortunately those were the funniest parts. You didn't put a lot of effort into this one. Into this one. This one. One. One. One.

Originality lacking, everything in this `parody` has already been done to death and it is not even all that funny. Too much from the original left in place. Pacing is good but have to ding some on that as well due to the amount of original lyrics left in. No challenge on pacing if the original lines are there, this is a no brainer as the author of this parody seems to also lack, at least in the creativity department. Boo Hiss. 4,2,2.

There goeth the mentality of the liberal democrat. Very dull, a tad immature and rushed for such a self appointed pro-parody writer - don't you think?

The author of the parody has authorized comments, and wants YOUR feedback.
