Song Parodies -> "Iron Klan"

Original Song Title:

"Iron Man"

Parody Song Title:

"Iron Klan"

Parody Written by:

Roger and Robert Arndt

The Lyrics

Again, these parodies were written in 1975 when my brother and I were visiting PA. after our father died. As kids, we never took the Klan, sickle cell anemia, the Hell's Angels, Gays, hemorrhoids, etc... seriously. They were funny words and people we heard and saw off TV shows like "Three's Company, Chips, Emergency, Sanford & Son," and on comedy tapes by Richard Pryor. Hope no one takes offense.
Imperial Wizard makes you feel
He’s a cone head with bed sheets, for real
The Iron Klan, with all its fame
Hates Black people and accepts the blame
Abuse of power?
The Iron Klan!
Hates Richard Pryor?
The Iron Klan!

David Duke, he is lame
Burning Crosses is a shame

Coming from the South Lands
As usual, I had to correct all misspellings and punctuation and finish the ending to make 11 lines.

I think the Klan looms much larger in the imaginations of its enemies than it exists in reality. Does anyone still pay their klektakon? Are there still Kligraps and Night Hawks and all that Klaptrap? I once attended a talk by a local historian who told us that one of the owners of the famous Kansas City Monarchs of the old Negro League was a Klan member. I guess he had to find some respectable way he could still buy and sell Black men.
