The Lyrics

This has been languishing in the slow lane-- hope it still "passes!"
You need coolant
Baby you're still fuelin'
Don't you pretend you're
Carpoolin'

Way down inside
You know your vehicle needs
Gonna guzzle it up, huh!
Gonna guzzle it up, oh!

Gotta whole lotta car!
That's a whole lotta car!
I hope you're friends of the Shah!
Cuz that's a whole lotta car!

The fuel you're burnin'
Global climate you're turnin'
At 9 mpg all the time baby,
You're churnin'.
In your hummer you can't hide
Fill the tank for just a hundred and five,
Gonna fill it on up,
Don't be spillin a drop, oh!

(instrumental break)

You're still fuelin'
Oil sheiks are droolin'.
All that good gas money baby you're misusin'
Way down inside
You wish you'd bought a Prius,
Next thing you know you're gonna ride the damn bus!
Gonna ride it with us!
Yeah! All right, get in!

Still wanna whole lotta car?
Want a whole lotta car
Ten dollars won't get you far
Still wanna be in a war???

Way down inside
hummer
You need
GAS!

Brake carefully,
Acceleration lowers MPG!
Hey! No! Too! Slow!
Not! Stop! And! Go!
(various moaning sounds)

Keep your coolant, baby!
Keep a fuelin, baby!

Awesome! Better than my "Whole Lotto Love", especially for parodying all of Robert Plant's vocals, the subtle bit of political satire ("still want a war?") and changing every line once. Newbies who do it right the first time are a marvel to behold.

Thanks for voting----I'm not quite a newbie but it's been a while! TOS came on my shuffle today and I realized I should have added that the instrumental part sounds a lot like engines revving up. I appreciate your comments!

Excellent job and better than the OS, IMHO... :-)

I was just listening to TOS last night trying again to come up with a good idea for it. This was excellent, and I second everything Agrimorfee said (except the newbie part!). 555 MPG.

More comments than votes- amiright must be using Diebold to keep tally. But all positive support is welcome, TJC, Ann and Meriadoc!

Hi Red Ant! Good thing i sped up before you cut me off! The song is long and I flaked off on ending it, but now i am trying for "tell me baby" by the RHCP and that thing goes on forever! Wanna race?
