The Lyrics

As I walked out in the streets of old Edo
as I walked out in old Edo one day,
I spied a young bushi, all dressed in yukata
Dressed up in yukata and cold as the clay.

"I see by your two swords, that you too are bushi."
These words he did say as I slowly walked by.
"Come sit down beside me and hear my sad story,
For I've been hit by kunoichi, and today I must die."

"'Twas once in the saddle I did yabusame,
'Twas once on the foot I used to play swords.
But first I went for sake and then to the play-house
To see sweetest ladies and hear koto chords"

"I spied sweetest geisha and asked her a favour
if she would jet me to lay on hear breast
But too late I noticed that the lady was a ninja
she pulled out a tanto and struck me on chest"

"Oh, would you please act as the kaishaku for me now
The shame is too heavy, I've been slain by a girl
I'll commit seppuku, I'll pull out my tanto
Then please behead me, then let my head whirl"

"Then seek that she-monster who killed me with cold blood
And give her a treatment that you'll think fits well
My death is too shameful and it yells for vengeance
Please, of dear samurai, please send her to Hell"

With these words he uttered and he pulled out his tanto
He draw his tum open, I lopped off his head
I went to my home and I dressed myself as Padre -
I planned a way I'd get kunoichi dead

I went to the playhouse and said "Pax vobiscum"
The girl with the koto looked at me with frown
From that facial quirk I knew she was a ninja
I pulled out my short sword and then slit her throat

Hmm... another enemy on another front, eh? I will have to strike back. AND, I'm also gonna tackle more female warriors besides Kunoichi and Blonde Valkyrie. Time to do Black Swan as well- C'mon Susanna show us how smart you are- who was SHE???

Susanna - East meets West again! Nice ballad. The classic American western The Magnificent Seven was a close remake of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. ;D

Nice to notice you liked my song :-) Edo is, of course, the old name of Tokyo. I decided to use the Catholic priest as a trap for the kunoichi, as historically a whole ninja clan was trapped that way - they didn't know Latin, and the sentinels of a besieged Japanese castle used Latin passwords...
