The Lyrics

What's this? Mike is writing a Tolkein parody? Believe it!
(guitar opening)

"There must be some way out of here"
said the hobbit to the elf.
"There's too much confusion.
I can't calm down myself.
Gandalf told me now it's time
to save poor Middle Earth.
I wish no one had ever told me
just what the One Ring is worth."

"No reason to get excited,"
the elf, she softly spoke.
"There are many evil spirits
who would like to make you choke.
But you and I, we've been through that
and Oscar is our fate.
Let us not trust Gollum now
as we approach Mordor's gate!"

(guitar break)

All along the Two Towers
Princess Arwen watched
hoping writers of the script
did not leave movie botched.
Outside in the distance
a thousand orcs did growl.
King Aragorn is returning.
He made the bad guys howl!

(guitar close)

So I guess, along along, the Two Towers, they were NOT Cheech and Chong. (see "High Life")

Michael. Freaking. Pacholek.

I realize that I am a day or two late for this...I use the excuse of a busy weekend, and a HORRIFYINGLY cruel and unusual situation at work which prevents me from visiting the site as often as I would like to.

That having been said...you have done it. I am 100% won over. I know that it has been a long time coming...but I think it was worth the wait. Congratulations and Happy Holidays.

WOOHOO!!

Oh no! Two resisters have fallen in the same day to this ferocious LOTR wave - but not me! - you can take my life but you can't take my FREEDOM!

You, Mister McBastard, aren't invited to join the wave anyway...

That's SIR McBastard, Arwen, and you would like nothing better than for me to add my charisma and prestige to your wave (not invited! sheesh - denial or what!)
Arwen - December 22, 2004 - Report this comment
I would, Michael...but I'm afraid I am seriously not speaking to Mr. McArthur anymore. So...I'll have to NOT tell him. Anything. Ever again.

By the way, I STILL love this....=) You're my hero, MP!!

Awesome Parody, Mike! I love Hendrix and I love Tolkien! The flow and rhyming were consistent with the original. Three thumbs up, pal!
