Is this supposed to make sense? Because it doesn't. I have read it 4 times to make sure I'm not missing something and I'm getting nothing. Also, I stumbled on pacing several times.

so confused, it's the kind of parody that I write that means something specific to me and other's make up their own meaning. This one was relatively clear as opposed to something like "The Corridor" that I wrote....so just enjoy the words and parody...Thanks.

Wow! and I see the word "people" in my last remark when I thought I typed "before" (but in my case I probably did type the wrong word, I've done it a couple times in the last few days, but I've caught most of them before submitting the comment.). Your style of writing takes some people places they are used to exploring, others get to see what's behind doors they hadn't been able to open before (me), and some are not able to see anything there at all (nothing wrong with that, we all have different "access routes" to understanding things, I do better with music than with books or visual media).

It's a bit like the movie Eyes Wide Shut. I know it has deep meaning but I can't figure out what that is. also, most of the pacing's perfect, but I tried every which way and still couldn't get "had buried weird thinking done before" to fit (where am I going wrong?) :-(

I feel like the girl on the emperors new clothes because this song really doesnt make any sense but everyone is pretending it does because they dont want to admit that the emperor is crazy. Because this song doesnt make any sense at all. Chili on ham and spam? Why would you eat green spam. thats just gross

Something tells me we have a different understanding of Zen, Johnny. I studied Zen Buddhism for a semester in college, and it was one of my favorite classes, so I've continued to read up on it since then. That having been said, this parody still doesn't make any sense.

So Confused: Zen teaches you to go beyond the aspect of your mind that craves thoughts that "make sense". Buddhism is all about letting go of craving. I'd make a lousy Buddhist since I'm full of cravings, but I can dig that aspect of Zen. If you are experiencing objective awareness of your own subjective state of mental confusion, that is a good sign that you are growing in wisdom and clarity of awareness. And if that last sentence sounds a bit like a Zen koan, well.... ;-)

So Confused, why don't we all just let it go? Why don't we all just respect Adagio's privacy and stop concerning ourselves with the question of whether or not we can find meanings for ourselves? After all, it's just a song parody, it's not the Rosetta Stone or the Da Vinci Code.

"Respect Adagio's privacy"? She posted this in a public forum for public feedback. We, the public, are dutifully trying to figure out what to make of lines like "It's my eighth began, (lunacy)" and "En'my of my pate it am,it am." Surely it's not just senseless rambling...?

Speck Tater, the public is always free to choose to respect the boundaries of an author who publishes publicly in a public forum.....the fact that she posted this in a public forum for public feedback does not mean that she is obligated to satisfy every inquiry from the public. She's already given her response up above, by inviting people to give the parody their own meanings. Whatever it may mean to her, privately, is not for public discussion, even though the parody is posted in a public forum. But if badgering her gives you pleasure, Speck Tater, well, nobody can stop you...use your free speech however you wish...just don't make the mistake of thinking you're entitled to know an author's private thoughts about their own parodies...none of us members of the public are.
