Song Parodies -> "Kennedy The Blank"

Original Song Title:

"Henry The Eighth"

Original Performer:

Herman's Hermits

Parody Song Title:

"Kennedy The Blank"

Parody Written by:

A Room Full Of Monkeys

The Lyrics

I'm Kennedy the rake I am
Kennedy the rake I am I am
I got friendly with a Ms. Monroe
We would frolic on a grassy knoll
Cause everyone loves a Kennedy
'Cept the ones with rifles in their hands
Don't know what went through the head o' me
Kennedy the saint I am

(second verse--it's even worse)
I'm Kennedy the late I am
Kennedy the late I am I am
I just wanted to be like big bro
But I didn't mean all full of holes
Cause everyone has an enemy
'Specially the ones within our clan
It's the fate of men named Kennedy
Kennedy erased I am

(third verse--get me a nurse)
I'm Kennedy the tanked I am
Kennedy the tanked I am I am
I'm the Kennedy that won't drop dead
I'm a jolly chap (-paquidDICKHEAD)
Cause I was drinking heavily
Like a fish is also how I swam
So my girlfriend drowned instead o' me
Kennedy the snake I am

(FOURTH verse? Must be a curse)
I'm Kennedy the wank I am
Kennedy the wank I am I am
I was publishing my magazine
I thought aeroplanes were really keen
I couldn't see ahead o' me
Shoulda listened to the weatherman
And I'm fish food now they've fed on me
Kennedy the bait I am

K! E! N! N! Y!
Kennedy (Kennedy!)
Kennedy (Kennedy!)
Oh my freakin' God, dude! Not again!
They killed the Kennedy men!
(You bahstards!)

I must admit, I felt a little guilty laughing at this as hard as I did. A sick, twisted trio of 5s for you!

Biting, cruel, clever, funny. My fave of the day.

I feel that JFK was one of our greatest presidents, and RFK was a good man...but this was funny...all 5s lol

That parody's a howlah! 5's

Ask not what this parody can do for you, because all it can do is make you sick. Show me a Bush that ever had more class than any Kennedy, and I'll show you... Laura? Maybe.

An irreverent song about Democrats from New England, and Pacholek hates it? No way! Anyway, thanks to everyone; I was toying with the idea of making June "Offensive Parody Month" in the monkey room but I decided why let June have all the fun (as Ward Cleaver used to say) ? ps to Mike: You coulda called it a "Profile In Sewage".

Considering the news that just came over the wire, and I don't mean Smarty Jones getting overtaken at literally the last second in the Belmont, I think we're on shaky ground when posting things about Presidents until Number 40 is laid to rest at Simi Valley. Which still doesn't make this parody good, let alone tasteful.

First, my biases: I admire JFK, admire RFK, don't mind Ted, and thought John-John had a great career ahead of him. That said, this parody is fantastic. It's the kind that makes me long to be a better writer, and a perfect example of why I'm such a Claude Prez sycophant, er, psycho fan. Great rhymes and puns, with throwaway lines that are better than many parodists' best stuff. Offensively humorous. Humorously delirious. Deliriously offensive. And the South Park parallel is brilliant.

Thanks Spaff. You've probably guessed I don't really have anything against the Kennedys that I don't have against anyone else who wants me to pay them to tell me how to live (my fave definition of a politician). They're just so much fun though.

Touching back with this site after a month-plus leave, I am amazed that so few voted on this one! I, too, loved JFK, though this was when I was younger. As I have aged, I have come to look at politics in a much different way, and as a result see hardly any real differences between either the two parties selected for our viewing pleasure, or their shills, the two Skull & Bone-heads boyz "battling" each other. They all work for the same groups of people. And Claude, I can't agree more with your 'fave def of a pol' above. Truly ON THE MARK!! As for the parody itself, ditto to Spaff's comments! 5-5-5!

I think this was hilarious! Delightfully sick!

This was fantastic - the 2 '1' voters have obviously got bees up their butts. I shall repeat my oft-stated rant: "It's a PARODY" people....try to laugh, you don't sound like you have much else going for you....

Yes, this is a highly irreverent parody, that legitimately could make some people sick. But Michael Pacholek, you're obviously WRONG when you said "all it can do is make you sick", because it did NOT make you sick! It sent you immediately to political pontificating, comparing Kennedies favorably to Bushes. THAT is not getting sick, it is getting partisanly pissed. You should learn to know the difference.
