The Lyrics

SHE SMELLED ONIONS

She smelled onions
I never got the kiss I'd waited for
Before I knew it she was out the door
End of our date

She smelled onions
I piled them on my burger much too high
And my Binaca spray had just run dry
Horrible fate

It's too late
She's in her car
She's wants to ralph

She smelled onions
I wanted her but I was so unwise
Should have had them caramelized
Now it was too late

She smelled onions
I never got the kiss I'd waited for
She smelled by breath and she was out the door
Mama, ended our date

It's too late
She's in her car
She's wants to ralph

She smelled onions
Na, na na na na na na
Too many onions
And no more breath sprayers, so I'm
Left in the lurch, it's
My fate, that's the truth
Too many people
And none will get near to me
Too many breaths I breathed
In too short a time

It's too late
She's in her car
She's wants to ralph

She smelled onions
Doh doh doh doh
It's too late
She's in her car
She's wants to ralph

She smelled onions
I never got the kiss I'd waited for
She took a whiff and she was out the door
End of our date

She smelled onions
I piled them on my burger much too high
And my Binaca spray had just run dry
Mama, horrible fate
It's too late
She's in her car
She wants to ralph

She smelled onions
Doh doh doh doh doh doh doh doh
Doh doh doh

funny idea, Rick, and some great lines, but I'm a big believer in varying the choruses/verses, even if the OS doesn't - 544

Fair enough, Stuart. I slacked off a bit just trying to get my name on the parody author's list. I appreciate your honesty.

We never discuss this, but I'm with Stuart. Even if you can change a word or two to give it an extra gag. Most pop songs are pretty repetitious, and in humor, a joke is only funny once. I try to twist it up a little, unless the repeats add to the point you're making.

Rick D, thanks for the advice! I will keep that in mind for future parodies.

I like the chord progressions in the OS, and I like this parody.

"Should have had them caramelized?" They actually do that to onions? EWWWWWWW!!! And taking the date where you can have your …burger… piled high with onions (shudder). Oh well, the song was funny, it made me cringe at times, but it was funny. 555 bottles of mouthwash awarded for your effort. ^-^
