"Aniston"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Aniston, oh Aniston
I can see your bosom bouncing
I can see your long hair flouncing
Yes, from sun to sun,
I dream of Aniston

Aniston, oh Aniston
Jenny, there's no need for grieving
Just because Brad Pitt is leaving
I'll be your hon'
I'm here, dear Aniston

I can see her sitting on my sofa
Gazing up longingly at me
Then I find it's just my TV
Once again, fantasy has run

Aniston, oh Aniston
Honey, I'm so cute and clever
And we'll be "Friends", I swear, forever
If you will just tell me you'll let me be the one
For Aniston, for Aniston
If I could just get my flippers on her, she'd forget all about whatshisname. © 2006 Tommy Turtle

I loved the idea...can't believe no one thought of it before, Tommy! The parody was pretty good, but needed either a few LOL lines or a different spin to it, to make it a stand-out. 544

Fives from me.

Kristof, you know how it is, sometimes you get lucky, and the original just naturally associates itself with something topical. Was actually rather surprised myself that no one had thought of it before.

TUVM both.

Y'know, Angelina stole Billy Bob Thornton from Laura Dern, and Brad Pitt from Jennifer Aniston. I should hate her. And yet... First of all, I'll always see her as the whiny Rachel Green from "Friends," and even as a third-rate Jeanie from that second-rate TV version of "Ferris Bueller" (1990 on NBC). And second of all... well, if you really haven't figured out what the "second of all" is, look up "Hello, Jolie."

excellent - very well done. I am an Aniston admirer - I think she's a great comic actress, and the best thing about Friends by a mile. She was also good in "Good Girl" - 555 - I liked the easy-flowing rhyming on this too, Turtle (wish I'd thought of the idea though!)

Stuart, Michael, TUVM. "Galv" to "An" - lucky shot, huh?
Michael, "Jolie" was good. I didn't like whiny Rachel so much either, but truth is, I wouldn't evict either of them for eating crackers...

I like the way Aniston fits the pacing. I liked her on Friends. She is well rid of Brad - she is just to mature for him. He needs Angie to play Wendy to his Peter Pan.

2Eagle, thanks.

Got here late. Yeah, she's quite easy on the eye, TT. I agree about whassisname.

Peregrin, never too late! ... (pause -- brief moment of silence for Royce Miller and Malcolm Higgins) ... well, yes, there is such a thing as too late. Not that that's a hint or anything. ;) ;) ;) j/k!

I feel bad for artists who starve in garrets, then some dozens or hundreds of years after their demise, their works are "discovered", applauded, and worth millions. Not comparing self, of course, but always nice to get a nod while the site and the turtle are both still around. (cf. "Bus Factor") Thanks for the visit!
