Parody Song Title:

"Same Sex Marriage"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Same sex marriage, same sex marriage,
Some believe that it's jus-tice miscarriage,
What do you think, brother,
Should one guy say vows with another?

Same sex marriage, same sex marriage,
Should it be just man and wife for pair-age?
What do you think, sister,
Would you wed ladies, not a mister?

Try, try, try, to separate gays,
Task, you'll be losin'
Why, why, why, insist on straight ways, can't..
It's nature's choosin'

Same sex marriage, same sex marriage
Is it what you'd call the Lord's disparage?
Man can't be a mother,
Some states say, done,
And some say, none
Should folks wed same sex, or just other?

Should folks wed same sex, or just other?

I have no personal interest in sex nor marriage, but this is a very funny parody, and great choice of OS to do the parody to. 555! :-)

One can only imagine what it would have sounded like if Percy Sledge sang "When a Man Loves a Fellow." Although I think he would have had great success with "When a Gal Loves a Woman."
Enjoyed this!

I was thinking of writing a Percy Sledge parody too, called "When a Man is a Woman" could be about cross dressing or sex changes, but since I know very little about both, I might not go that route.

The question of whether or not gayism comes from nature or nurture is at the root of the controversy. I suspect that varies from one individual to another. Once the barriers to homosexual marriage are removed, can one find a valid, legal basis for prohibiting plural marriage? Polygamy, historically, has found much greater acceptance in more societies than homosexuality. Could a bisexual person marry both a man and a woman? Why not? Inevitably, gay marriage will result in gay divorce. When the dust settles, the real winners, as always, will be the lawyers.

Patrick, TY for your comments. While I do not believe that anyone is born naturally Gay, I do believe in birth defects that may cause a disorder and that would be 100% legit towards orientation. Most people do not know that all human life starts out female in the womb- the male identity and genitalia form at a certain time and so it may be possible that gender confusion may occur during this process and lead to one feeling like the opposite sex trapped in a foreign body and with it all the psychological ramifications. But OTOH for those that claim born that way as a standard, that can be disputed by a range of individuals and effects: sexual abuse in childhood, rape, environment, dominate mother, no father growing up, pure sexual preference out of lust, gay- for- pay porn entertainers who have wives and children, those that were "confused" growing up, those that thought they were Gay and switched back to hetero, those that seek the best of both worlds (Bi), those rejected by the opposite sex, forced womanhood in S America and Asia (She-male prostitution), and so on... so I think ultimately each case is unique. Having lived in California most of my life and being around hundreds of co-workers, I have had many Gay male friends... but only two have ever claimed they were born that way. the majority have stated their individual _reasons_ for choosing the Gay lifestyle. Much of it has stemmed from childhood abuses and insecurities or rejection by the opposite sex.

same sex "unions" are fine. go ahead and french kiss your dude friend while he's rubbin ya, i could care less, but a "marraige" as stated in the dictionary is a union between a MAN AND A WOMAN if you want insurance benefits from your mates policy and those policies only cover a MARRIED couple, well then start THAT insurance company that provides coverage for gays and lesbians. but just because a yo yo and a car tire are both shaped round, doesn't make them both a tire. don't change the word "marraige" . have the integrity to create a company and start your own word for this special union twix 2 guys, 3 guys, any number of guys and gals, and also include those who cut stuff off and added stuff on, might as well do it right the first time eh? and when some real serious gay or lesbian person starts this company, they'll probably make some huge $ so be sure to study tax law as i did and get incorporated for liability and tax benefits. good luck
