The Lyrics

I'm currently in rehearsal as part of the cast of "1776", which is being produced by my hometown's community theatre group, so I've got theatre on the mind...the "Green Room" is the traditional name, used throughout the show-business world (both stage and TV), for the off-stage room where performers hang out, relax, and wait to go on stage..."beta-blockers" are a type of blood pressure medication that some people (but not me) have been known to use to reduce stage fright.
When the curtain's
Gonna rise
Did you think to pee before you left the Green Room?

Are you thinking
Of cues you've blown?
Stage managers who stare at you across the room?

You are living
Unreality
Under lights so bright
They quite nearly burned me
In the long run
They will bake you dry
Make you wrinkled and old before your time

And the difference
Between me and you
I put all my make-up on
And I know all my lines now baby

You forgot your lines!
What are your lines, now, baby?
You forgot your lines!
What are your lines, now, baby?
You forgot your lines!

Now the curtain's
Gonna rise!
Did you think to take your beta-blocker chill-pills?

Are you shaking
Down to your bones?
And managing to bear the spotlight's glare on you?

You are looking
For cue cards, I see?
I've got news for you -
We're not ta-ping TV
You're on stage now -
We're do-ing this live
There's no tur-ning back now - you're on in five

And the difference
Between me and you
I did not smoke from your bong
And I know all my lines now baby

You forgot your lines!
What are your lines, now, baby?
You forgot your lines!
What are your lines, now, baby?
You forgot your lines!

Johnny D - Beautiful job, you hit all your marks so I've giving so more marks, 3 "fives" to be precise. I also parodied this CSN song today. There seems to be a "CSN" revival around here lately and I find that really refreshing.

Thank you, Paul, and thank you too, Rick.

Paul - by the way - I was unable to open that "wpd" document you sent to my Yahoo account...you know, the one with the project you said you're working on? Can you send it in another format?

I'm not familiar with the original song either, but the parody was very funny. I voted 5-5-5 like everyone else.
