Out for strolling late at night.
They rip and glower; have no pity on daughters.
They’re mighty nasty and don’t gum, but they bite!

Their wretched lips will eat dads and mommies;

They bare their teeth with ripping power;
You’re in danger if you’re out there.

All come to grief when wolfin’ moon’s mountin’;
It’s wanton slaughter, walking at night.

And trip through bowers with no daylight.

They clench and grip to eat dads and mommies;

They’re going to sup when wolfin’ moon’s mountin’;
You’ll hear bones crunch. . .that all she wrote.
Into the night—you shouldn’t oughta—
You’ll be lunch, an entrecôte.

They rend and rip; much sweeter are mummies;
When wolfin’ moon’s mountin’, you are their fare.
They bare their teeth, these slitting chowers
You’re in danger if you’re out there.

You’re warned: beware, they’ve ripping power,
And they ain’t nice when hunger’s mountin’.
One of ’em ate the girl I loved:
She was so fair—a little flower.
Don’t go at night time when the moon’s mountin’
Or you will be a gruesome guy’s grub.
You don’t care—you trip through bowers
And you become a lunar lunch. . . .
