The Lyrics

The OS for this one is a recording I have which misses all the spoken bits in the middle that I found when I checked out the lyrics - so there's probably another recording out there with loads of extra bits and pieces. All I can say is that if you think I've left lots out, it's because I've been working to an abridged tune.
USA was having trouble:
Rampant pessimism
Voting for a leader to head war
On tourism
No, it can't be fun
But who can be the one?
We looked around and then we found
George Bush Senior's son...

Ding! Dubya Calling...

*****

And now it's...
Springtime for Bush and America
Heil to the U.S. of A.
We've marched on through Afghanistan
Finding oil for our master plan

Springtime for Bush and America
Kerry's not merry, he's sore
Springtime for Bush and America
So long, Europe, we need you, no more.

Springtime for Bush and America
Voting? We're gloating today
Springtime for Bush and America
Who's bettin, we're gettin' our way?

*****

Here we're all in a brain-dead state
That's why we live in a red state

*****

All our fraud escaped detection
That's how he won the election

*****

Springtime for Bush and America
Syria is near ya today
If they won't give in, or abstain
We'll give 'em shock and awe again

Springtime for Bush and America
Budget? We'll fudge it, once more
Springtime for Bush and America
Means that...
Soon we'll be going...
The deficit's growing, but
Soon we'll be going....
Are our motives showing?
You know we'll be going to

WAR!!

Well done parody. I'm a big fan of the musical and this fit right up along with having a funny and poignant message. It WOULD have been nice to see what you did with Dubya singing the part where Hitler sings, "I was just a paper hanger no on more obscurer...." well done anyway!

Hanger, Mike? Well, that's a whole other issue of which Georgie is on the wrong side.

Great Broadway show-tune parody, Philbo.

With everyone considering "King George III" as the new Hitler (or the Antichrist in some circles), this parody is PERFECT! I'm giving it fives...out of fives!

I was thinking of doing a similar parody - but this is way better. I imagined versions of the beer, Valkyrie, sausage and Prussian Eagle lady... americanized! Would've been funny to see a fast food lady, American Indian, marine, soccer mom and Lady liberty in their place while this song played - then a gay Bush comes out!
