The Lyrics

Oh, I'm Tryin' Crime again, Please stick your hands up
Give me all the cash and no-one will be hurt
And I'm really sorry that I have to do this...
Guys like me can only make it, Tryin' Crime

I'll be on parole a month now, come next Friday
I tried goin' straight, but couldn't earn a dime
So, I'm right back at this bottom line profession,
It's the only job I'm good at, Tryin' Crime

Yes, I'm Tryin' Crime again, please stick your hands up
Give me all the cash and no-one will be hurt
And I'm really sorry that I have to do this...
Guys like me can only make it, Tryin' Crime

Back in prison, I was rehabilitated
Learned new tricks from all the others doin' time
Graduated with an In-Stir education
I can do a better job now, Tryin' Crime...

Oh, I'm Tryin' Crime again, please stick your hands up
Give me all the cash and no-one will be hurt
And I'm really sorry that I have to do this...
Guys like me can only make it, Tryin' Crime
Yes, Guys like me can only make it, Tryin' Crime....

I'm confused. - November 27, 2004 - Report this comment
Did Buck Owens and Leann Rimes do it as a duet? If so, it wouldn't've been done in the 60s, because Leann wasn't born until the 80s. Could you explain ?

Sorry for the confusion...No..Buck Owens was the writer and original recording artist on it...in the sixties....LeAnn Rimes...done it in a more recent album.......
