John Ber'sford Tipton
Was a legend of yore
He dabbled in great sums, in kilo-grands
All he longed for, funds aside
The hope of a pleasant report
But all he'd ever shown - a purposeful, deft hand

[Harmonica break]

With boundless, shameless bounty
He strived to hawk his clout
With his faithful sidekick, Mike, he cooked his plans
The newly rich would gape and stare
Their haul erasing doubt
For they would always owe no debt to Uncle Sam

[Harmonica break]

All the clods he helped and backed
In shame, they did go down
The blowhards belched and grimaced, stood to lose
And the sums he passed around
Soon would dash these aimless clowns
He was never known to aid a fool he'd choose

Heavens! That must be out of the Jurassic era. Recently, I was trying to find a Website for that old cornball because I still remember those sappy stories.

That show "The Millionaire" aired WAY before my time! I had to YT about Tipton to know what the song was about. But I caught a glimpse at it and I must say, it's a great tribute and you paced those lyrics really well! 555.
