By some fans who sorely smarted
So it held on

But sabataage was in the works
Perpetrated by those jerks
The network heads
They didn’t have the brains to see
How big their property could be
They wished it dead

Kirk and crew lived on you see
In re-run perpetuity
A cult was born
The Trekkie movement soon was risin’
Peopled by those selling fries and
Girlfriends forsworn

And Leonard we’ll miss you
As you boldly go
You lived long and prospered
Long after the show

As Spock your logic was sublime
And how you used to read a mind was
A sight to see
Your Vulcan neck pinch put ‘em down
You never failed to astound
a tyke like me

And when you greeted old T’Pau
That hand salute was really, wow!
and hard to do
I used to practice every day
