I startled a goat,
Which started the whole herd flying.
But I didn't feel
That the goats would stampede, oh no.

I startled a fly,
Which started the whole swarm flapping.
Oh, the fies were unclean,
And the room smelled obscene.

I cooked up some fries,
Sliced up some ham, baked me some pies.
Now I'm feeling well-fed,
Finished the bread and most of the spread.

Then I mightily sighed,
Which startled me back to living.
Oh, if I'd only seen
That the goats were a dream.

I looked for the flies,
Looked for the ham, searched for the pies.
Then I felt some contempt,
Feeling unkempt from things that I'd dreamt.

So I started to write,
I started a droll verse, scribbling.
Oh, if I'd only seen, oh yeah,
That the goats were like me, oh no,
Just a joke in a dre-ee-ee-eam!
Oh-oh-oh-oh...
