The Lyrics

PARODY

Parody
This is what this song is meant to be
And the lyrics come so easily
As I’m a fan of parody.

Everyday
As I listen to the songs I play
I re-write them in my own sweet way
A parody, it makes my day.

Why I like them so
I don’t know but can’t you see
I bring lots of joy
When I write my parody.

Parody
It’s a style that’s simply made for me
I should have a go at “Let it Be”
As I just love a parody.

Why I like them so
I don’t know but can’t you see
I bring lots of joy
When I write my parody.

Parody
It’s a style that’s simply made for me
I should have a go at “Let it Be”
As I just love a parody.

Mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm mm

Pacing is right on. I get the same feeling every time I hear a new song or an old favorite: I want to rewrite the words. I think most of us here feel that way. Maybe this could be the AIR Anthem. As I went to enter my comment I noticed this: "DKV. That's the code for my security. Charlie Grosvenor watches out for me. And here at least, speech is still free".

Same here, Patrick. The more I like a song, the more likely I am to do a parody of it. And then its like I own the song; I improved it, somehow. At times thats quite literally true. There are some songs that have great melodies but only so so lyrics. Put better lyrics to it and you have a great song.
