Parody Song Title:

"He Went To Tikrit To Hide"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

That old boy really looked sad,
Oh what a newsday.
Yeah!
That man was drivin' Bush mad,
They caught him today.

He went to Tikrit to hide,
He went to Tikrit to hide,
He went to Tikrit to hide,
We got him there.

He looked like livin' debris,
He looked kinda down.
Yeah!
He could never stay free,
With our troops around.

He went to Tikrit to hide,
He went to Tikrit to hide,
He went to Tikrit to hide,
We got him there.

At one time he was ridin' so high,
We got him on ice,
Been taken off site, you see.
So now we get to tell him goodbye,
The raid was precise,
The end of his flight, now be.

That old boy really looked sad,
Oh what a newsday.
Yeah!
That man was drivin' Bush mad,
They caught him today.

He went to Tikrit to hide,
He went to Tikrit to hide,
He went to Tikrit to hide,
We got him there.

He was hidin' there,
He was hidin' there,
He was hidin' there,
He was hidin' there,
He was hidin' there.

Wow... I only heard the news this morning, and someone already wrote a parody about it. Impressive. Also a hard song to parody - double props. 5/5/5

Tireless Guy? Miss a news story? Never. And I've really got to like this one...5's

JD - Thanks, man - it is a good news day. I turned my TV on around 6:30AM CST today and had a funny feeling that something very interesting was going to be on the news.

neminem - I wrote another one to this song in May titled "He's Gone To Tikrit To Hide". I just knew they would find him there. Pat - Me miss something on the news? Not likely. Thanks.

It was impossible not to want to read this when I saw the excellent title.

Guy, Excellent job! And right off the presses, too. I saw the "buzz" on this when I dropped into the office to do a few things and check the site here, but I never got around to looking at it until just now. When it coming to wanting that son-on-a-bitch bastard Hussein put out of commission I think just about everybody in this country was on the same page (or least in the same chapter). Nice work - It appears you had a couple others of note, too. I'm trying to look at stuff from people I've never checked out before in between my own posting & stuff so I'll have to get back to yours.

Thanks to all who enjoyed this. This guy sure is doing a good job of being cannon fodder for this site. Everyone keep writing about the Sadominator. He can't be blasted enough.

Great Job! I love the attention to technical detail here. Example: you mirrored the "think twice - do right" rhyme scheme in the bridge perfectly! It's also just plain funny and fun to sing. I love it!

This was great, I don't know why I missed this earlier. Now that holiday break is on I think there will be time to write more...of course Watt is going to Trinidad for the break so I'll be sans parody buddy :-/

For the votes and comments I am most appreciative. But not as appreciative as I am for the fine soldiering that our awesome military provides. This song would not have been possible without them. Wish they all could be home for Christmas. It's their sacrifice that gives us the freedom to write this stuff. God Bless our men and women in uniform and may they have the best possible Christmas, wherever they are.
