Parody Song Title:

"Ciggies"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Since I mocked all the Beatle' songs several years ago, I thought I'd add them to the HUGE number that's already here. Maybe there's a few that haven't been done yet
Have you seen the little ciggies
In the magazine
People having fun with ciggies
Sanitized and clean
Healthy people seen
In advertisements

Have you seen the bigger ciggies
On the silver screen
Product placement plants the urge for
Buying nicotine
It's certainly obscene
Those advertisements

In the back rooms big tobacco
Plots and schemes for teenage appeal
Smoke in eyes and all that hacking
They've got big financial backing

Everywhere there's lots of ciggies
Making people smell
You can see them standing outside
With their ciggie hell
Drooling at the bell
Like Pavlov's doggie

(ABC) Reminds me of an anti-smoking TV commercial from the 1970's ... a non-smoking cowboy is sitting at the bar in a saloon in the old west, and a bunch of cigarette-smoking "bad guys" walk in through the swinging saloon door and gaze menacingly at him....one of the cigarette-smoking bad guys swaggers forward a couple of steps and says "We figured--", then that bad guy coughs, then says "---you'd---", coughs again, then says "---be here----", then all the cigarette-smoking bad guys erupt in a huge group-coughing-fit, bending over, staggering around, as the non-smoking cowboy at the bar slowly walks through their midst and leaves the saloon.

Don't forget the coda, RAD: "One more time...*Cough* *Hack* *Wheeze*"
Fave lines: "Product placement plants the urge for / Buying nicotine."

A little disheartening... but I have that sense of humor. I liked it.

Voted already but never commented. Probably cause I can't think of anything clever. Very good though.
