The Lyrics
Olivia Hussey Eisley (1951-2024) passed away yesterday and this is my tribute. She came to fame in 1968's Romeo and Juliet, later starring in Black Christmas, played Virgin Mary in Jesus of Nazareth, Norman's mom in the prequel Psycho 4 and then Mother Theresa. Her version of R&J is my favorite and my least favorite is the Leonardo DiCraprio one. The reference here about losing all her money is from her autobiography The Girl in the Balcony. She was scammed by a shyster circa 1980s, however she got back on her feet of course. Instrumental written by Nino Rota for the film Romeo and Juliet. There are many different versions with lyrics; this is based on the 1969 Andy Williams one.

A horror classic ‘bout a psycho so vicious,
Argentina’s where she was born,
Then grew up in London, but now we mourn,
In Psycho 4, played Norman’s mom,
