Parody Song Title:

"Yellow Muddah, Yellow Faddah (A Letter From Lisa)"

Parody Written by:

Claude Prez

The Lyrics

Yellow muddah, yellow faddah
Greetings from your -- yellow daughta
It's about my -- yellow brudda
Since he left home Bart's been living in the gutta

He was not much -- of a worker
Down there at the -- Krusty Burger
You remember -- Seymour Skinner
Bart made *very* special sauce upon his dinner

He got canned and -- then quick-lee Bart
Got a job at -- the Kwik-*E*-Mart
Apu thought it -- rather fishy
When a kid asked for another Vodka Squishie

Now I don't want -- this should freak ya
Next his stage name -- was Bartika
You remember -- his friend Milhouse
You should see him in a miniskirt and silk blouse

Take him home, Oh Muddah, Faddah
Take him home, you really gotta
Please help me, he's living in my yard,
And he done ganked my credit card

Take him home, your special little charming scamp
Can pack a blunt just like a champ
The merry little trick-
-ster's turned into a total dick

Darling Muddah, fatass Homa,
He should have got -- a diploma
Now the only -- job he's havin'
He gives in the alley back behind Moe's Tav'n

Wait a minute -- on the news now
Wiggum's got him -- in the hoosegow
Jacked a Lexus -- capped a gramma
Muddah, Faddah, he'll be living in the slamma
Yes, I ganked the word "gank" from neminem, wherever he's got to.

Best Simpsons Parody EVER

This is just FABulous, Claude! I was ALL ready to focus my comment around the word "ganked," until I noticed that you'd already brought attention to it with your P.S. Dammit.

So...instead...I will say that:

Now the only -- job he's havin'
He gives in the alley back behind Moe's Tav'n

...made me blush and giggle all at the same time...; ) EXCELLENT work!! It's perfect!

Simpson-tacular!!!
Tim Mayfield - October 27, 2005 - Report this comment
I must admit I am not a Simpson's aficianado, so I'll take your word on the specifics. It does read well, and has a certain coloring to the humor. You could have jazzed it up a bit. ;-) 5's
Phil Alexander - October 27, 2005 - Report this comment
Lovely bit of Springfield storytelling, Claude :-)

Don't have a cow, man, have a five! Hate the Simpsons, love the parody.

SOTM...yep, pretty much even more perfect that it was the first time I read it. I L to the OVE this, Claude. So much!
Agrimorfee - November 10, 2005 - Report this comment
(SOTM) A bit hinky on the pacing, for the sake of the humor, but you had some creative (read: profane!) ideas on what to do with the Bartman. 454
Red Ant - November 11, 2005 - Report this comment
SOTM- See above, Arwen picked out my favorite lines above. Also loved the "You remember -- Seymour Skinner/ Bart made *very* special sauce upon his dinner". I think McDonalds uses the same sauce on their Big Macs. I haven't watched the Simpsons in ages but remember enough of the show to get all of this.

(SOTM) well, the title is worth points for a start, Claude - brilliant. and I loved the "set-up" rhymes milhouse/silkblouse, quick-lee-Bart/KwikeeMart - now I'll vote you 5s as quickly as Homert - 'o a donut

Forgive me for taking a whole freaking month to get here. I don't know what's more amazing - the parody itself or the fact that Michaelopedia and John Jenkins agreed on something. But what they agreed on - a dislike of The Simpsons - is jaw-dropping. How can anyone who enjoys satire NOT enjoy The Simpsons? Disliking The Simpsons isn't an opinion, it's a character flaw.

As for the parody, it out-Simpsons The Simpsons. (Toto, we're not in Springville anymore - we're in South Park.) I have this unfortunate habit of laughing through my nose, and on the Seymour Skinner verse, I made some very special sauce upon my keyboard. I'm also especially fond of the Moe's Tavern verse. Great stuff.

(SOTM) Being a huge Simpson's fan, I'm kicking myself for not seeing this earlier. It's damn hard to parody Springfield's first family...you've got to be as funny or funnier than they are. I think you just about pulled it off, Claude...555

SOTM. A parody that rivals the writing on the Simpsons...one of the funniest, most consistently humorous shows in the history of Television. This is one of those parodies that fives are not high enough.

Me being the lazy procrastinator that I am, there's nothing much left to say about this as I leave my 11th hour comment lest I be disqualified. But this was quite good and could easily have been in an episode.

I'm really embarrassed I said Springville. I must be from Utah or something.

Allan Sherman: Hello Muddah, hello fadduh, here I am at Camp Grenada
Homer: Marge, did we send Lisa to Camp Grenada?
