Don't want to play Russian, UN, Syrian, and Congressional mental masturbation games with the Assad regime and the blatant use of Sarin (Nazi German) nerve gas on civilian populations. Assad deserves to die and I pray that President Obama will ignore international and domestic pressure to just let Assad go unpunished. As a REP, we call for even stronger action for regime change. Small arms shipments and MREs are not gonna win that civil war and the threat of others spreading regional war b/c the US does not honor its commitments towards removing tyrants (regardless of the Redline statement), will further destabilize the ME. War is inevitible there, ideologically, religiously, and culturally. And the US cannot afford to lose its credibility at such a dangerous time in the face of unyielding evil. Striking Syria sends a powerful message to Assad, Iran, Hezbollah, and Al Qaida that the US WILL act against all use of WMDs. Not to do so would be setting a dangerous precedent. The UK already has lost its standing as a staunch US ally after 100 years of support. France and Saudi Arabia want to join us in the attack but cannot act independently. Most of Europe is sidelining again and the UN is an impotent body of Third World nations seeking handouts with a lame security council that is constantly being undermined by Russia and China that supply arms to all the troublemaker nations and terrorists against the West. Only Israel has the guts and determination to not allow its people to be gassed AGAIN and would nuke Syria, Lebanon, or Iran the first time CW missiles hit Israeli soil and kill civilians. And what is the US doing? Sitting on its ass and allowing evil to prevail. I don't want to hear from anyone about the lessons of Nazi Germany as Assad has gone further than Adolf Hitler did with nerve gas. German stocks of Tabun in Berlin sat on a barge and the order was never given in March-April 1945 to use the artillery ammo. The LW also had Tabun bombs for the dropping. Hitler was gassed in 1918 and was hospitalized. He learned of the Armistice after Nov 1918. So he relented in 1945. That makes Assad's use all the more heinous and against his own people, not a foreign invading enemy. Case closed. Failure to act is betrayal and cowardice. Obama as CIC will be disgraced and the US discredited for not acting when we had the chance to (right back to the 1930s and failure to fight fascism).
