The Lyrics

It's happened to everyone...
Yeah, yo

Your mountin' frustration
Is the kind that I'm okay to let go
I get why you're shakin'
A condition I'd hate to be in, so
Not gonna throw big fits
Since you trod on a Lego brick, geez
They're hollow, but vicious
Better watch your step or they'll embed deep (oh-oh, oh-oh-oh)
That's gotta hurt like pure hell
Rest of the day, your foot ain't well (oh-oh)
Thought my Legos were on my shelf (oh-oh)
So how did this happen? I can't tell (oh-oh-oh)
Know that bare-footed feelin' well
But since said feet are gonna swell (oh)
That's a habit I'd break cause, well
You're in so much pain

Feels like your sole's flayed open, it ain't so (oh-oh)
You only trod on a Lego (oh-oh)
Know what that's like, if I were you (oh-oh)
I'd watch where my foot without shoe (oh-oh)
Goes, goes, goes

Tell me which piece or part
Lodged itself between your poor metatarsals?
Is is Star Wars? Think hard
Must know exactly which starship's been smashed up
I don't need your ragin'
Truth's all I want, I must know
When one piece gets misplaced, it
Pisses me off, it's no joke (oh-oh, oh-oh-oh)
I'm not dismissin' you, no
Had my own share of dropped Legos (oh-oh)
Jammed in my foot, causin' much harm (oh-oh)
Minifigures between my toes (oh-oh-oh)
Small bricks, studs, all manner of parts
Find a worse pain, a task so hard (oh)
Wouldn't bet on that, wouldn't go far
It's the worst damn pain

Feels like a wound's reopened, it ain't so (oh-oh)
You only trod on a Lego (oh-oh)
Know what that's like, here's a tip, dude: (oh-oh)
My Lego room ain't a barefoot zone (oh-oh)
No, n-no, n-no (oh), n-n-no
No, n-n-no, n-n-no, n-n-no (no)

Heard you when you screamed "Ow"
All the goddamn way across town
That ultimate sufferin' sound
Is, in fact, the way I worked out
That you came in contact with my art
The way you're not meant to, one part
Wanted to give a foot massage
Can't give that, just pain

Some may think that I'm jokin', but hell no
All those who've trod on a Lego (oh-oh)
Know what that's like, makes you wish you'd (oh-oh)
Not wanted a breeze on their good toes (oh-oh)
Toes (toes), toes (toes), toes (toes), toes (toes)
Toes (toes), toes (toes), toes

I honestly can't remember if I myself have trod on a Lego...I do remember treading on the fly of my shorts once. It was sticking up straight at the time, you see. And I only noticed the true extent of the damage when I realised my footsteps were squishier than usual. Good thing I was walking by where we kept the Band-Aids at the time, right?
