The Lyrics

There's a game on channel four
"Don't disturb" is on the door
Not gonna miss it now
Not gonna miss it now

Munchie madness on my mind
Punchy, paunchy, I recline
Something is missing now
Something is missing now

Empty mug I can't ignore
Got the shakes, now it has awakened
So I fly through kitchen door
In just a while, my thirst it will be slakin'

I got a beer but now
My ramen's gone
Half of my onion rings
Have just danced away

Gobbled, the crock pot
I waited on
Gonna be a lite, lite
Luncheon today

Hear the swinging doggy door
And furry feet down on the floor
Not gonna take it out
Not gonna take it out

Tries to catch me unaware
On a double doggy dare
Not gonna fake me out
Not gonna fake me out

Empty mug, just like before
Them's the breaks, chance I'm always takin'
And all behind the kitchen door
In single file, the bottles that I'm chasin'

I got a beer but now
The ramen's gone
Someone nipped all the chips
That my dip awaits

Gobblin' stray chow
The dog has come
Gonna be some slight, slight
Munchin' today

Gonna be some slight, slight
Munchin' today

Hunger pangs harsh my mellow
No fish filet, only soup and jello
Oh, hunger pangs harsh my mellow
No Chik-Fil-A, only two marshmallows

I'm outta beer and now
The pain has gone
I have sipped all the drinks
That make me feel strange

Color me gassed, passed
Out on the lawn
I'm gonna be a light, tight
Rummy today

I'm gonna be a light, tight
Rummy today

Interesting. I am still trying to wrap my brain around "harsh my mellow" but this tribute to having the munchies was quite a mouthful....we a brainful?

"Harsh my mellow" is an old hippy-type term.

Hi! Don't really know this song/singer but since you provided a handy link, I checked it out - holy crap that kid can sing! And it turns out I do actually know "I Can See Clearly Now", so it was actually more fun to listen/read than I expected. Oh, and clever parody too - not as good as "Victor Von Doom", which is I believe my favorite of yours - but well written for sure; nice job!

Thanks very much! You might want to check out Grace's other YouTube videos and her album, "Just the Beginning." She's only 14 and wrote or co-wrote all the songs. She won "America's Got Talent" when she was 12. Glad you liked "Victor Von Doom"!

Like Claude, I'm not familiar with the song/singer, but as a lyric, this parody is quite a fun read on it's own. 5 Maruchan's for you! Why is my stomach growling? Gotta split, man!
