The Lyrics

I'm at badave.com

Okay, a couple of notes as I know I'm going to get hit a few times on this one. This song IS BENEATH ENRIQUE. I don't care what others think or what he says defending the song, but look at his discography, listen to his talented voice, and then this song. Its a sell out song, a song that had great potential and a fantastic beat, that went to the dogs. I actually kinda like the song itself, just not from Enrique, its not his style at all, and it doesn't sound natural from him. . .I could see Ludacris doing it, I could see Madonna doing it, heck I could see ME doing it, but not Enrique. I also am SICK of rappers getting verses in songs where they really add NOTHING to the song (which this original is no exception). Kanye West ruined Katy Perry's E.T. and Daft Punk's Harder Better Faster Stronger (sorry I think Kanye West bragging about himself has nothing to do with either song). 3oh3 (Worst rap group ever btw) ruined Ke$ha's Blah Blah Blah. Rihanna's Raining Men would be so much better without Nicki Minaj and she clearly outshines Eminem in their duet as well, about the only times I like a rap/pop combo is when the rap adds something to the song, as it did in Umbrella. . .and that's hard to say because I like very little of Jay-Z (Run This Town is a particularly cringing song, that shows Rihanna herself in a song with lyrics she would never support--but that's the show business, anything for money right?) Anyway--done rambling for now--all my opinion, love the beat here, its who's singing the lyrics that kinda got me tied up.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude

This song is groovy
and then the radio made it sound so cool
but something's funny
Radio censored the song for me and you
It's really naughty--ooh
So I checked the real one on ITunes
and it surprised me-uh-oooh
Once did Balimos, now he's a sell out too

Sell out pop sensation
Ruined reputation
Once was a Hero who made young girls blush diff'rent hues
Now he has green intentions
Modesty hit suspension
Hey Enrique I don't mean to sound prude

But this song is beneath you
Oh hey bro
Yeah this song is beneath you
Oh Woah
You are sounding like a tool
Oh you know
you should have stuck with 'loving you'
Oh-- oh no

His face is pretty
That is his type and he's got dazzling moves
but he was ready
Lets sell out this time, and get some cash for new shoes

Starting a gyration
Its not innovation
You know that he's "Addicted" to his cash-yes it's true
It's the generation
The word "f**ks"* a sensation
Hey Enrique you know this much is true

You're a sell out, now aren't you
Oh you know
That this song was beneath you
Oh you know
That you had much more in you
Oh you know
That you'd make a load or two
Oh you know

Ah Booyah
Hey Enrique, your a tool
Making cash off the likes of you
Making all the pop bleed
Every song that we taunt I want ya money
That's why I rap for you
From Rihanna
and Ke$ha
Katy Perry, uh huh
Take over pop all right
Now I'm wearing diamond rings
Thanks, now I can ball
I ain't no hottie
but I got money ain't no joke
From what once was dance
and rap now infiltrates all Jazz
Well get a verse in ev'ry pop ballad
This token rap
Is nearly through
This sounds better from you
(hey) Enrique I make cash off of you

cause you are a sell out dude
Oh you know
That this song is beneath you
Oh you know
That this song is beneath you
Oh you know
That this song is beneath you
Oh you know
That this song is beneath you
yeah this song was beneath you
yeah

The reference to the word f**k is based on reality. In the past several months the billboard is dominated by the word more than any other including this hit, F**king perfect by Pink, F**k You by Ce Lo Green and F**k Him, He's a DJ by Ke$ha (not to mention the myriad of songs where its not in the title, but still plays a repetitive role in the song) . . .I actually like all the songs I just named, just noticing a trend here, that's all

I disagree with you on sampling rap in pop songs... For one reason and one reason alone. Thriller isn't nearly as cool without Vincent Price rapping towards the end. Okay two reasons Black and White has a section of rap as well that is awesome. Both Michael Jackson but both important rebuttals to your above statement. Plus, I haven't heard this original song yet but I'll take your word on it.

You should read before you make such statements buddy. . .and I quote myself in the opening statement "about the only times I like a rap/pop combo is when the rap adds something to the song, as it did in Umbrella. . .and that's hard to say because I like very little of Jay-Z " I agree with both those particular examples. . .but as I just repeated myself, when it 'adds' something that's different--but what do most rap verses in pop hits add???? Katy Perry featuring Kanye West in E.T., what did Kanye add--a verse bragging about himself and another doing simplistic rhymes about Mars? What did 3Oh3 Add to Kesha's Blah Blah Blah?. . .that's what I'm referring to, I didn't say every rap appearance in Pop is bad, I said ones that add nothing, which in my opinion is the majority. . .but NOT all of them, so I rebut your rebut

Okay, Fine. You win. But both of those are good as well as Jay-Z's collaboration with Linkin Park in "Encore/Numb".

Holy moly, did Enrique REALLY make a song called THAT? That's like Santa Claus swearing or something! I will happily stick my hand up and say I'm not a huge rap fan, so I thought this parody was very smart and on the money. Nice job!
