The Lyrics

This might be funny, we're it not Orwellian prophecy, realised in Stalin's Britain
Hello darkness, my old friend
The seventies are back again
Fuel poverty & strikes & discontents
Winds rush in boat loads of immigrants

But the vision they implanted in your brain
Be afraid
Of all the sounds of sirens

Your worst nightmares have come to be
Despite warnings from history
Slips the halo of a London Mayor
Who turns a blind eye cos he couldn't care

...when our children, stabbed by the flash of a zombie knife
Another life
With not a sound of sirens

But in the broad daylight I saw
The Thought Police with batons drawn
People thinking without speaking
Leaders use not ears for listening

People tweeting things
they thought were free to share
No wonder
They heard the sound of sirens

Inmates cheek by jowl, who knows?
Problem solved: "you're free to go.
Heed my words & I might free you
Vote for me & I might free you"

Jackboots tread so heavy on our lives
& echo in a World of sirens

& the people bowed & prayed
To the Dear Leader they made
Nineteen Eighty Four was his warning
Animals they once were Farming

Come the time, cut the strings of the puppets
as written on the cold, damp walls
of residents' halls
They ushered in an age of violence...
(1.12.24) Van S A'Parody ...(Disclaimer: it's a comedy name only - I'd like to state, there's no offence/confusion intended ...that I'm NOT one of "them"!) ...From 2018-22, the UK music buying public made their 5th consecutive Xmas #1 a parody 'artist' (a record that surpassed the Beatles). Often, a new artist can announce their arrival with a particularly good cover, made uniquely their own. I'm no singer nor musician, so if you can perform this (or any of mine), please send me a version & lots of royalties!

...oh, sorry, did I say Stalin's Britain? I meant Starmer's Britain

Same thing.

Let me get this straight: Britain had the Tories in charge for 14 years, and you're blaming all this on 5 months of Labour? Even Premier League referees aren't dumb enough to believe that!

...nope. I'm highlighting what's happened (so far) after 5+ months under Labour ...on 5+ months under Labour
