The Lyrics

Wanted to do a song in the style of "A Complicated Song" or "Why Does This Always Happen To Me?" by Weird Al...when it seems like the universe is just pouring all the crap on you. Original Song
Just waking up, boy I’m still tired
Nine AM on Saturday, still gotta get breakfast ma-ade
I gotta fill my bowl with my desire
Only Frosted Flakes for me, but I have to eat them the right wa-ay

Ohhhh oh oh oh oh
I’m reaching in the fridge now
And the milk’s coming out
Ohhhh oh oh oh oh
Before that sweet pouring sound...
A rank smell coming out *sniff*

This milk is expired!
Damn milk is expired!
It’s coming out solid!
This milk is expired!

I’m late for work, I must get changed
Got my shirt and I got my tie
Looking sharp, I’m looking great!
Did laundry, “I’ll go downstairs!” I’ll procla-aim
Thought I’d be reassured
That my whites would be secure, but

Nooooo oh oh oh
And now my feet are unbound
Frantic, looking around
Ohhhh no oh oh oh
Now I can’t help but frown
Just one thing isn’t found...

Socks lost in the dryer!
One sock in the dryer!
One’s black and one’s whiter
Socks eaten by dryer!

Been a hectic day, must clear my mind
Blast the radio to soothe my cries
But on every station, it’s not right
All stations going to their 90’s world
They give one song a whirl
They’re making my ears burn, baby, please...why me!?

They keep playing “Higher”!
Creed’s hit song called “Higher”!
All stations required
To keep playing “Higher”!

Oh, oh, oh, oh ohhhhh oh oh oh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh
Oh, oh, oh, oh ohhhhh oh oh oh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh
Oh, oh, oh, oh ohhhhh oh oh oh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh
Oh, oh, oh, oh ohhhhh oh oh oh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh

This is my world, it won’t get brighter!

Right on Key(s)! Digging your Al'ish take on this tune!

I think these could of been bigger disastors. I liked the expired milk one but Creed's "Higher" isn't that bad. Still this one was pretty fun to see what you were going to do with the "fire" rhyme.

Basically what we all have to deal with every morning, especially Mondays.

(Artistry) Unlike Matthias, I think the mundane "disasters" contrasted with the overblown nature of the OS was hilarious. Couple of pacing stumbles, but nothing too unforgivable. Also I've never heard that particular Creed song but they seem to be a popular punching bag when it comes to bad music so it still works. 555!

(Artistry) I liked that I had no idea what was coming. You could've done so many things with the "fire" rhyme scheme and the fact that the parody has no title, it was like a fun little mystery. I really enjoyed it.
