What's gonna be there when we hit 55?
I keep thinking shows will never change.
Keep on thinking "Friends" will always be the same.
But when we watch these shows,
We're always coming back.
No more "Dynasty" cause that shows gonna pack.
And if you'd rather watch "Laverne and Shirley".
You better watch it now,
Cause I think they'll cancel it someday.

And ratings are gonna go down.
The shows on TV's are playing,
Like a theme without sound.
And I keep thinking,
About the show "Brady Bunch".
I knew it'd be off,
I guess it was such a hunch.
And there was "Munsters" and "Mash".
And then it got really cool.
Stay at home watching syndication with me.
We'd get so excited when Jan said "It's not fair".
Laughing at the Brady's when they joked 'bout Marsha's hair.
It's on the TV screen.

We all watched the stars,
As they made the big money.
Will "Drew Carey" be,
Another syndication that's funny?
Will we still remember the famous shows from school?
When we thought TRL was really cool.
Will little Brady Bobby still be making us laugh?
And will Marsha still be there trying to get a good tan.
I keep, keep thinking that the ratings will die.
Keep on thinking those shows were so fly.
