The Lyrics

This song is for Weirdo Jace. I started writing this a long time ago but I never really got around to finishing it...it's finished now, though. For those of you that like to listen to the original song and the parody at the same time, please take note that this isn't a parody of the Nas Accoustic version of the song. Enjoy!
Man,
I'm tired of getting booed at,
Tired of getting chased by the audience and beaten,
Comics need a spot where we can kick it!
A spot where we belong,
That's just for us,
Comics don't got to get all dressed up and be Whose Line,
Know what I mean?
Where do comics go when we die?
Ain't no Heaven for a funny guy,
That's why we go to Comicz Mansion,
That's the only place where stand ups get in free and you gotta be funny,
Heh,
At Comicz Mansion,

A place to spend my quiet nights,
Place to just write,
So much pressure in this life of mine,
Crowd's like some mimes,
I once attempted a stand up act,
Was in the shack,
But when I held that mic all I could see was the critic's back,
No one knows my style,
They only leave the aisle,
You know, it's hard to tell jokes when no one smiles,
Just picture me chewing out the vagabonds in poverty,
Now audiences don't want to come within a mile,
Prayin' hard for better acts,
Promised to hold on,
Despite the complaints of hundreds of morons,
We need to find a spot to spit it,
Where everyone would laugh and not pick apart our verse,
A spot where we can just rehearse,
And even if we're cursed,
We can flow and not have to keep our acts terse,
For better or for worse,
And in my mind's eye I see this place that comics go and laugh,
It's got a spot for us all,
So we can ball,
At Comicz Mansion,

Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky,
(At Comicz Mansion),
Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky,

Will I survive all the acts unscripted?
Trouble starts,
Tell the people without funny bones to show some heart,
I've shed many tears and couldn't sleep well for multiple years,
Witnessing comedies flop,
Nobody cares,
Seen American Idol ban us,
They'd rather hear rock and rap,
And I cannot tap,
Why they don't like our crap,
Is there a way that someone knows,
To get the funny back on the radio?
And then came "Weird Al" Yankovic getting played on Demento,
The only show,
To still play all comedy,
So let me see,
What is he doing right?
That others' doin' wrong,
I'm comin' from the gutters trying to debut my song,
I need a house of love to escape the depressing world I'm in,
I need a place to write some lines in Comicz Mansion,

Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky,
(At Comicz Mansion),
Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky,

A place where the mothers don't pray that their babies cry,
To get out of our shows, but instead, a line,
Seen a show with Jerry S. last night,
But it was only half full even though he's the best now, right?
Then some prick said that "Weird Al" Yankovic should not be allowed on TV,
Like he's not sittin' there kicking it with Conan, why don't they see?
How can you expect our culture to finally get grown,
When there's not even some comic relief in our homes,
Maybe in time you'll understand,
Why people love to see Weirdo Jace and his band,
I thank all the comics who have died in the past,
And are somewhere else, maybe found peace at last,
Picture a place where they exist,
Together,
It has to be a place better than this,
In Heaven,
So right before I sleep, Seinfeld, what I'm askin',
I'm done with the race, save me a place,
In Comicz Mansion,

Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky,
(At Comicz Mansion),
Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky,

(Comicz Mansion)

Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky,
(At Comicz Mansion),
Ain't no thing like parodies,
Full of stand ups and VIPs,
Li-hi-hi-fe of comedy,
In the sky.
Don't you wish there was a place like that? A place where we could just say anything and wouldn't have to worry about people getting mad about it not being politically correct...a place where parodies would be on the radio 23 hours a day...a place where all the great comic minds of the past could come together and truely make something of note...
