The Lyrics

Original Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W14pDLACa-U
I was a hog
I ate so much before
I’d step down, make new holes in the floor
I rarely could make it out any door
I got to see Dr. Katz, and he showed me some stats
Got me into a bet that I wouldn’t die yet
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

I’d fill up my car with entrees from taco bars
7-11 was a snacker’s second heaven
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

While on the run, downed a case of Cinnabons
Twenty Hostess Pies, or a case of Budweiser
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

I’d scarf Dunkin Donuts because they’d drive me so nuts
‘Twas quite a revelation, they cut my circulation
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

I went to the DQ, have 10 scoops not just two
Instead of that today, just a cup of light Yoplait
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

I’d sit at Boston Market, eat turkey by the bucket
Every day I’d have a Pop-Tart, I almost had a popped heart
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

Gobbled down every Piece and PB cup from Reese
Loved Ben & Jerry’s system of flavors, I’d kiss them!
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

I would really go to town on KFC and Brown’s
And for dessert a handful of Almond Joys and Mounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds
I weighed so much, but I lost pounds

I ate so much each blessed night
I do say now I feel high as a kite
My epilogue—my body’s so light
The pounds I’ve lost, I’m safe and sound

Nothing wrong with a traditional fat guy parody! Fun stuff!

Okay, first off -- rhyming "popped heart" with "Pop-tart" is just inspired. Love it. Also, one of my discarded ideas this week was something like "My gut was flat but now it's round" or something. Would've been funny to do the opposite of your parody; maybe next time. Anyway, great job -- both on the parody and the song choice; it was a lot of fun.

An Englishman might have interpreted you winning the bet by spending (i.e losing) even more Pounds on food, but I sense some potential Halloween candy binging remorse behind the whole thing! ;-P
